"On Tuesday, October 28, at about 2:20 p.m., two representatives from Power Home Remodeling came to my home in Madison Heights, Michigan — a white male named Dustin and a white female driving a vehicle with Michigan license plate EYC 5730. They ignored my clearly posted “No Soliciting” sign, which even lists the city ordinance number, and the female solicitor knocked on my door anyway. When I answered, their initial sales pitch was that they had just completed a job in the neighborhood — a tactic that shows if you hire them, they will harass your neighbors to drum up more work. I confronted them immediately and informed them they were in violation of Madison Heights Ordinance §7-68, which explicitly prohibits soliciting at any residence displaying a “No Soliciting” sign — permit or not.
