"Resurfaced a shower. It looks fantastic! Company could do a better job with communication. We moved everything from the shower, but didn't know that the coating would go everywhere in our bathroom. Door knobs now have a film on them as well as other surfaces in the bathroom. I would have taken everything out of the bathroom had I known. The service man did not communicate what would be happening, such as going through our bedroom to open a window to put a large exhaust pipe out the window. I am not upset, but communication could have been much better."

Joe took time to explain the entire process as well as options for transforming my bathtub to a shower stall. His wife, Tee even came by to show me some samples of the panels I was interested in. It helped to see them in the bathroom in order to get a better idea of the finished look. Dave, the installer, took pride in his work and made sure that everything was installed to my liking. He consulted with me on the grab bar and shelves to make sure I was happy with the placement. He also took time to answer my questions and provide explanations that made sense. I was highly impressed with how clean he kept the project by putting drop cloths through my house and cleaning up each day before leaving. I am VERY happy with my new shower stall and am amazed at how the panels make the shower look like tile instead!!! "They did a great job with replacing my tub with a stand up shower, and replacing my bathroom floor. Jim was on point with what was available and they could perform, Devin was on point with sales end, getting order and making arrangements for install. Problem was, beyond that there was no communication when needed, a few issues developed and I was unable to get needed answers. Fortunately, I was able to reach out to Devin and he was able to get answers, and get needed task completed. Outside communication block, I am very happy with work completed!!"

I paid the invoice. It's been over a year and despite numerous emails (over a dozen) with Amanda Zettel of Homemade Design, I still have not received the drapes or a refund. I was very satisfied with all of Homemade Design's work up until this experience."

"We contacted Hooks Remodeling & Repair to do a list of items that needed to be done around our home. Some items we had been able to do in the past but physically are unable to do any longer. The biggest item was to paint the exterior of the house, including replacing some siding boards; painting some rooms in the interior as well as all of the interior trim (and there is a lot). Other things were: fix an outside Florida room door that would not close anymore (in order for it to close we had to use the deadblock lock. Once we used that, then we couldn't get the door open); clean and restain the deck which included replacing some boards; clean all the gutters; replace two bathroom faucets;replace a kitchen faucet; replace a light above the kitchen sink; and repaint our front door.Eric was prompt in coming to the house to provide an estimate. He walked around the house with me & pointed out the areas that he felt needed extra attention. We agreed to the price which included everything he was going to need.to complete the job (except faucets & lighting). Other companies I had to get all the supplies and this was not a chore I wanted to take on. I prefer the contractor get the items they need. That way I know they have the right items. I picked out the paint colors & just gave him the brand & numbers.We were going to be out of town when they needed to start the job. He had a lockbox (like realtors) and came in & started the job while we were away. This was a big help. They moved all of the furniture & put it back when they finished. Any pictures or other items they moved were also put back (even upside down like I had them - now that is paying attention to detail) I could find no paint splatters or drops anywhere inside so either they are VERY good or do a great job of cleaning up.When they moved to the outside, they did a lot of prep work and a great paint job. Eric even made some suggestios that turned out to be great and made a big difference. The pressure wash they did on the house almost made the house look good enough not to have to paint (but we did). I think he may think twice the next time someone wants to re-paint their front door red though. ha ha. They were very punctual and Eric kept me updated as to everything he was doing & when. His workers were very polite & professional. Everyday before they left they cleaned up and put their supplies away neatly. We only had one sort of blip of the entire job and it was a misunderstanding and was taken care of promptly and professionally and it turned out just fine. I am very pleased with all of the work that Eric & his crew did. In my mind it was a lot & they got it completed right on time. I love driving into my driveway and admiring the work. I would highly recommend Hooks Remodeling & Repair to anyone needing just about anything done. If there was a little something that Eric saw that needing doing he did it. I had a problem with my disposal one day and he fixed it in about a minute. I have had other repairmen in my home over the 10 years we have lived there & I can not in sincerity say the same thing about most of them.Thank you Ericeplace"

"Everything went better than expected. Price was very reasonable and work I believe was much better quality than others offered. We had back porch enclosed and screened in, they came up with variety of options. The workmanship was excellent and communication with me as the work progressed was in a timely manner, especially with a few weather delays. They followed up in a few days and came back out to inspect again and also followed up with roof repair. Roof also was inspected and repaired without the hassle of tearing up material to find the leak. Discovered flashing just needed repairing.
