"Edison gave me a fair price to snake a very stubborn drain that had already been snaked (to no avail) with a 25ft augur. Edison showed up with two different augurs, one with a 1" thick monster cable and a thinner one, both on a 100ft spools. Basically, he came very well prepared for the job. He wasted zero time, got right to it. Because this line was particularly stubborn, he wasn't able to dislodge the debris, and after poking around, he fkund another drain that I disn't even know existed, and snaked that with both augurs again, and this time he got it. After he cleaned up I asked him how much, almost expecting him to up the price because he had to hit the clog feom two different drains and used two different augurs for each. He looked at me with a funny look and said [agreed upon price]. So I tipped him $25. He has 20+ years experience with plumbing, and it shows. He will be our go to guy in future. Hire with confidence."

He listens then tells you pros and cons. Although very busy, you do not feel shortchanged if he needs to run to another emergency. In my case, they secured loose pipes, replaced pieces that were old, & even bought a dead radiator back to life (had not worked in years). Doc, the electrician wrapped things afterwards.
