"We recently moved to Petaluma and wanted new flooring in our new home. We found Sunshine Flooring in San Rafael. Owner Dave Gilbert was happy to work with us In spite of the distance his crew needed to travel. We count ourselves lucky that he agreed to take on this job. He clearly laid out options (hardwood, engineered hardwood, vinyl plank, carpet), provided suggestions, but left the decisions up to us. (We chose engineered hardwood downstairs and vinyl plank upstairs.) He made an effort to get the materials as soon as possible, since we had a deadline to vacate our temporary quarters. His workers were on time, friendly, efficient, and good at their crafts. We love the end product and highly recommend this company. It had been a long and hard road for us to find our house, and Dave and crew were really a ray of sunshine."

"We hired Juan for our kitchen backsplash and floor tile installation on our kitchen upgrade project. We ended up hiring him for cabinet, countertop, and range hood installation, too! Juan and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with. He was prompt, professional, and an excellent communicator. His work and commitment to getting it right came through every day, and he has a very collaborative style. His advice gave us confidence in the decisions we were making about materials and installation. Because our home is 100 years old and has many quirks, we had a few surprises along the way. Juan didn't hesitate to offer up solutions. (He put in 6 shims to level our window sill! Something we didn't even know we needed). Our kitchen turned out better than we could have imagined, and it's because of Juan's commitment to excellence (and patience with us!) that it turned out so well."

"Empire was very coinvent with their response to quote my carpet project. Lexi the sales rep was very kind and helpful. My only complaint on the customer service side was that I was told I was to receive a discount upon signing, but never did. Quote was reasonable, but hate being lied too. The carpet material is very nice and the installers did a awesome job and cleaned up after nicely as well. I do recommend Empire for their timeliness and craftsmanship."

"I was so happy to find Estela Fine Flooring to replace flooring in my home with uneven floor. Their price is super reasonable that includes labor and all materials with high quality planks. Israel and his team was incredibly skilled and meticulous, from leveling the floor to artistically installing the planks and baseboards, they paid close attention to every detail. They put up protective coverings to minimize dust and debris, and clean up after the job was done. The project was completed within the estimated timeframe. I highly recommend this flooring company to anyone looking for stress free and high quality experience. They transformed my space beautifully. I won’t hesitate to call them if I ever need flooring work done again."

"When I called for an estimate I was surprised at how quickly Mr. Straus was able to come. I knew the carpeting I wanted and he was able to get it in a reasonable time. (The carpet had to be run specially by the manufacturer.) When my remodel slowed down, he was very flexible about re-scheduling the date of installation to meet my new needs. The installation was painless, with workers arriving exactly when they said they would, cleaning up after themselves, and making seams that were almost invisible, with a single exception. When I wrote Mr. Straus that my worry was not about the lack of invisibility of a single seam but the fear it might unravel with time. He guaranteed he would fix it if that happened. He built so much trust in my dealings with him that I happily accepted his promise. I recommend Mr. Straus both for

"Quickly and simply installed my floor in a matter of hours. Very kind and hard workers. Price was almost the same as what was quoted on the phone."

"The porcelain tile installation turned out better than we hoped. Their workers adapted to the change that proved necessary (we tried to remove the previous tile and cement board underlayment ourselves). They also disposed of the tile we removed. The new floor is a joy to behold."

"I am absolutely thrilled that everything on my list was done in one day by Carlos and his helper Reese.  I will definitely be contacting him for future work in my home.
The professionalism, thoroughness, promptness, courtesy, gets highest accolades from me.  There are not praises high enough for Carlos and his company.  I rate Carlos a 10+ and recommend him without reservation.

"Outstanding work Emilio has lots of expertise and pays attention to detail I am a General contractor and always come to him for when I need flooring services I highly recomend him"

"Some of the experience was pleasant and the results are mixed. I am content with the way the floors look, but I also think the company cuts corners, reneges on its promises, and provides a job that is just adequate for the price. Tai did accommodate my wishes twice: I added an additional section of floor, which delayed their completion, and he acceded to my demand that the new section have a second coat of polyurethane added. But the contract and the conversations with him promised three coats of Bona product, which was not used. He later amended his statement, saying he meant one coat of stain and two coats of varnish. In the late added section, they did only one coat of polyurethane. The difference between that section and the other floors was palpable and visible. And when he redid the section, he failed to move the refrigerator, so the kitchen floor is not evenly finished. Further, he did not put back the stove they moved out, claiming they don't move furniture. Finally, and worst of all, they did NOTclean up; they left open doors and windows to rooms not being refinished, so that the dust and dirt spread everywhere.
