"STAY FAR AWAY! I should have read the reviews. Very similar siituation. Mike came out to repair our Bosch refrigerator ice maker. He quoted a price for a new ice maker (don't recall price, maybe over $1K). The part that arrived was incorrect so he told us he was working with a company to get the part. This went on for a while. We went back and forth with texts trying to move this project along and get it done. In the end, it was obvious he didn't want to follow through. IMO he figured he would just outlast us and hoped we would go away. He blamed the issue for not receiving the correct parts on the company he was using and so we are out an icemaker and our money. We started this in April 2025, next month will be a year. No concern, blew me off over my last several texts inquiring about this issue and when I finally asked if he planned to reply, there was no apology, no concern and acted as if I was bothering him. Customer service doesn't seem to be his forte. Not recommended. "

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Greeneville, TN

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
