"The Pros: While Extreme did call me shortly after I asked for a quote, I missed their call and didn’t call them back until late that afternoon. They still managed to get a technician out to my house to quote me that same evening. The technician who provided the quotes didn’t try to sell me on anything. He just gave my HVAC unit a quick once over and after a brief discussion provided me with a quote. The price I was billed matched the price I was quoted and the pricing was competitive compared to other quotes I received. This isn’t always the case with contractors, so always – get more than one quote! I was level set that the install could be either the following Monday or Tuesday and they were able to begin the installation on Monday. The installation team arrived as promised. They were friendly, worked quietly, and took care to respect my home while they were working. My old HVAC system needed disposed of and they had to fabricate parts to fit my utility space and both were handled well. The work space was cleaned up, the installation team closed our back yard gate when they left which is of importance to me because I have pets, and they took time to explain everything they did. In addition, they gave me advice on how best to maintain my unit and what I could expect with the service plan I’d chosen for the product I purchased. Weeks after my HVAC installation was complete, I had an issue with the A/C unit (see below). Extreme was quick to get a technician on site to address the problem. They were on site within a few hours of my phone call which in the contracting world is pretty fast. In addition, there was no charge for the visit. Room For Improvement: The installation team didn’t call when they were on their way. They were within the promised window, but it would have been good to know when they were en route from their previous job. The installation took most of the work day which I chalk up to my installation team had journeymen who were still learning the ropes. It’s not a ‘con’ rather it’s just something their newer techs need to be mindful of. About 2 ½ weeks after my A/C unit was installed it stopped working. It required service due to firmware needing an update and low refrigerant due to a leak in the A/C line. Both issues should probably have been addressed by the installation team. I’m not listing this as a “Con” because I was level set that they were journeymen and I didn’t object. Working out kinks in the system comes with the territory with any piece of engineering – but they should be mindful going forward to check for firmware updates and test for leaks in the coolant line after install. The Cons: Two words – customer service. A call taker should NEVER say the words, “If you’d have let me finish…” nor should they ever talk to you as if you were a child. This shouldn’t dissuade you from using Extreme because I’ve found that soft skills are lacking just about everywhere I go and in every industry I come in contact with. Overall Impression: I highly recommend Extreme One Hour. They act with integrity; they appear to be tirelessly working to gain customer trust through professionalism, communication, hard work, and (mostly) friendly interaction; and when there was an issue, they were quick to identify the issue and resolve it. These are all key benchmarks of a solid organization and I’m confident that all my HVAC needs will be met for the foreseeable future. "I needed an entire new house system with all duct work installed and lines and power. I had window units for air and baseboard for heat. Greg's team was great to work with. Always on time and very professional. Did a great job on the install and I love the system Can't even hear it run. They worked and listened to me on ideas I had on what I wanted to have done, and we worked well together to come to a final solution that worked, as some of the ducts was hard to install. Would use the Blair team anytime. P.S. Great price on the system"

"Hi Tech gave an estimate over the phone and explained what would be included as part of cleaning furnace duct work. Included in the price was to also clean the dryer vent while they were here. They cut a hole in the bottom of the furnace, hooked up a large machine and began the duct cleaning. They went around to each vent and cleaned them. They also deodorized the vents. They put a cover over the hole in the furnace once they completed the work.
It took quite awhile and so I spent the time working on the computer while they were here. It went well and it was obvious that a cleaning was needed due to the amount of dirt extracted. I noticed an improvement in the smell of the air and generally less dust but there wasn't as much change in the amount of dust in the house as I had hoped there would be.
All in all I was content with the job even though the cost seemed rather high. A former employee of theirs referred me to them and so I felt I could trust them.
However, 3 months later when my dryer needed service, the technician told me that my dryer vent was clogged and not enough air was getting sucked out the dryer vent because it had not been cleaned in a long time. He explained that the vent goes up into the attic and then to the outside. I called Hi Tech because I didn't remember seeing the Hi Tech technicians go into the attic to clean the dryer vent when they were here as promised but at the time, I didn't think to ask them about it until after they had already left. Hi Tech said that dryer vent cleaning was not written on my invoice and, therefore, they have no record of promising to clean the vent and so they did not clean it. They refused to come back and clean the vent unless I paid an additional $140 which was about $20 more than their competitors charge. I didn't think that was fair so I went with the competitor on the dryer vent cleaning.
Maybe I should have stood by and watched more closely everything their technicians did. Maybe I should have double checked the receipt they gave me. Maybe I should have remembered to ask about the dryer vent cleaning before they left. Lesson learned but the fact is, we had a verbal agreement over the phone of what would be included and it wasn't done. I think they should have honored that verbal agreement or at least given me a discount on coming back out to clean the dryer vent. Since they didn't, I probably won't use them in the future.

"Easy scheduling via the website. I was able to select the type of service needed and then was shown a list of times available (a 3 hour window).
Robert called about 20 minutes before he showed up to verify what needed to be done and when he would arrive. I quickly talked him through the issue and said there was a chance he might need to leave to get another part once he checked the line. I appreciated that he let me know up front what the process would be.
Once he was here, he was very professional and fixed the problem area in a short amount of time.

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"The furnace works quite well. New Climate even repaired some bad ductwork on our 2nd furnace for a reasonable price. Kirk reviewed several options with me about what size furnace we needed and why, the differences between furnaces of three companies, and left the final decision for me and my husband to make. When we hesitated because of the pricing of the 3 furnaces, he called the companies and got us a lower price on each furnace."

"They completed the job in less than one day and even hauled the old unit away. When the initial inspection of the unit was completed, the technician discussed all of the possibilities with the repair. He was honest with me and suggested replacing the unit and the furnace as well while he was there. I like that when he gave me the estimate, both the technician and I signed it. This was all at his suggestion, which I appreciated. Overall, it turned out very well.
