"The plumbers that came to the house to give an estimate and the men that came to move pipes and close off existing ones, were professional, polite, informative and answered all the questions I had before during and after the job was completed. They cleaned up and we're tolerable of the small space they had to work in at the house."

"I cannot comment on the cost as I have not received a bill yet. However, when I called, the girl I spoke with did provide me with the initial hourly and cost per hour after that plus the cost of any materials needed. I was told the plumber would be here in about 90 minutes which ended up being about two hours. This did not bother me as it was an emergency call and for all I know the plumber could have been estimating the time to complete a current emergency job and that could have run over. I did not get the name of the plumber but he was polite and friendly and nice. I did the homeowner hover as he looked at the problem and he explained what he was looking at and what was wrong. He then had the parts needed in his truck and brought the pipe and the mixing valve that also needed to be replaced due to corrosion to show me what needed to be replaced. He then repaired the leak and replaced my mixing valve and came upstairs to ensure that the hot water was functioning. I was pleased with the customer service when I set up the emergency appointment and very pleased with the plumber that provided the service. In addition to his professional attitude he was concerned with dragging wetness through my house on his shoes. I would definitely use them again, even without knowing the final cost."

"Called them Friday night when our heater suddenly stopped working. They called back Fri night and came out Saturday morning, as they said they would. Jenkins sent a senior technician since Buderus is a complex system. The technician at first thought it was a different part, but that part didn't solve the problem. He then determined it was a different part and he had to go to a store to buy it. This second part did solve the problem He ran all the diagnostics and had eliminated everything else as the possible cause before determining this was the part that needed to be replaced. <br /> We were very appreciative that they came out the next morning after we called and got us back up and running on a Saturday, as it was really cold out. The technician seemed very knowledgable and worked hard to fix the problem. In total he worked on our system for about 3 hours, including the time to buy the part from the supplier. Although it was an expensive repair, it was certainly a lot better than needing a new heater,. Would recommend them and would use them again. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Hammonton, NJ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
