"The workers came on the appointed day with a longer ladder, as suggested.    Terry called to ask if he and an assistant could come by earlier than the original appointment time because they had finished work scheduled in the area earlier than expected; that certainly worked for me.    He surveyed the roof, took pictures and reattached a loose shingle that had fallen into the gutter.   Terry showed me the pictures of the roof from many angles; they showed no other repairs were necessary at this time.  Terry asked if there was anything else that required attention, but nothing else was immediately apparent.  He gave me his card and explained that the company does general contacting work.  
I am very impressed with the speed and efficiency shown today and won't hesitate to call MMP Construction in future if I need general contracting work done.

"Sanfer was the general contractor and worked on the project diligently. He was very responsive throughout the project. Painting and plastering was outsourced to a sub contractor. However, Sanfer’s crew worked on remodeling the kitchen and bathroom. There were some delays as we made changes in scope of the work. Overall, I was happy with their work."

Probably the most bind-boggling thing is that he does the vast majority of the work himself and by himself. He knows the building codes in and out, which made getting permits approved as smooth as it gets in a county that is notorious for being difficult to build in. "I highly recommend using Scott Curtice for any renovation project no matter how complex it is. We bought a house that was over a hundred years old that had not been renovated for decades. Starting from the planning stage, Scott was wonderful about redesigning the house in order to open up the space and bring it into a more modern look. He spent several sessions reworking his plan always taking into account our needs and desires. Once the actual renovation began, we ran into a number of complex structural issues with the house itself. No matter what obstacle came up, Scott and his team were able to find solutions. His team was efficient in their work and they were all always reliable. In fact, many of our neighbors were astounded that all subcontractors worked on the home daily and that they actually were busy the entire time they were at our house. In addition, the lines of communication between ourselves and Scott, as well as his subcontractors, were always open. They kept us abreast of the project's updates and always made suggestions for ways to improve the work for aesthetics and/or cost savings ideas. Scott’s work was beautiful and he and his crew paid attention to every detail. The majority of the house required a gut renovation and it came out exquisite. Even after the job was complete, he was always available for questions. I would highly recommend using them for any job you have."

"We sent Rob the plans in advance, and he visited the home to complete a walkthrough. He had not reviewed the plans prior to his visit, nor did he have a copy of them with him. He told us we needed to rip open every outside wall in every room that was being worked on in order to replace the insulation, which was not part of the plans and would have added tremendous cost to the project. When I told him we wanted to limit costs where we could, he told me that wasn't possible in a project of this size. He estimated that the cost would be 50% more than other bids we have received so far, and pushed us to try to get the names of other contractors bidding on the project. He said he'd need to complete at least 2-3 more walkthroughs with sub-contractors, and couldn't even give us an estimate on when he might have time to work on the bid ("when I get through the stack of papers on my desk and schedule my knee surgery"). After the visit, we asked him not to bid on the project."
