"Technician showed up a few minutes before my scheduled appointment. He was very friendly and detail oriented with his services. It was a pleasant experience to know the technician was very experienced and efficient. Took him about 2 1/2 hrs to complete his job and everything was working perfect afterwards. And the best part was the great price!!! Any home repairs I need in the future will be done by AP Appliances for sure.

Reached out to this company over the weekend. I received a call back Monday morning and a Wednesday morning appointment was scheduled. None of our repairs were an emergency (unless you consider a wine cooler not cooling an emergency!).



Alex was great! he called before arriving so I knew when he'd be here. He took a quick look at the two appliances I was concerned about and was very quickly able to ascertain that they were fine.  With regards to the upright freezer he confirmed the problem was simply a blocked condensation line that we can easily unblock by defrosting ourselves and flushing the hose.  He offered to do the work but since we know how to do that we'll take care of it ourselves.  We wanted a technician to have a look in case it was something else but it is a simple fix, albeit one that is a pain to have to do a couple of times a year!  The wine cooler however had stopped cooling and as it turns out it is not an easy fix, nor an inexpensive one.  It will cost as much to repair the compressor as it did for us to buy the unit brand new so we're opting to replace with a new unit instead.  In total Alex was here for about 45 minutes.

I truly appreciated that Alex was upfront about the issues, offered us options, and didn't just go ahead and do work that was costly or unnecessary.  Given that we are not "DIY-ers" with regards to appliance repair, I wouldn't have known what was reasonable or not so again, I very much appreciated his honesty.

We would hire this company again.

"This was partially my mistake, but I ended up paying for a garbage disposal I did not need. Not until the new disposal was installed did the installer test to find out that the problem was not with the disposal itself, but with the wall switch to turn it on. So I spent $299 for a new disposal that I didn't need. It was my mistake, I guess, because I didn't realize that it could be something else and I prepaid for the new disposal. But learn from my mistake...before you pay for something, you should really check and confirm the cause of the problem. Don't assume that the company you hire will do that automatically. I assumed they would clue me in to what else the problem could be or at least ask what the problem was before installing this. Live and learn... Would I hire them again? Yes, but only knowing that I can't assume that they will do the diagnosis prior to repair or replace. Also, when they called to confirm the appointment, the man who called told me there would be an additional dispatch fee...when i told him that the service was portrayed as all inclusive on Angie's List, and to talk to the owner...he came back and told me they would wave the fee. So again, the customer must really be on his/her toes and object to hidden fees."
