To be candid, this was a very difficult installation off the bat, tight spaces, staircase overhead, etc. The first contractor gave a quote to just replace the door, no new frame, and quoted $500 more than the contractor I went with. The second contractor came, looked and said he would get back with a quote but never did. The third contractor came, looked and muttered that I needed a good carpenter as he walked away.
