"Zachary Shreve was my service specialist on the day my plumbing decided to back up again! I routinely have to have sewer work, old house, an addition, and pipes that go a few different places. Zach went into my crawlspace and for the first time found a avenue to do the work without moving the toilet. He showed us each step he was taking and we super appreciated that! He was honest, pleasant, and finished sooner than all the other techs previously. I will recommend Reddi services to all my friends and neighbors! Thanks so much Zach!"

"I requested Cesar (with Anthony Plumbing) come back to do a toilet installation because he had recommended a replacement the last time he was here. I felt he was professional, and knowledgeable, and now that the installation is complete, my confidence in Cesar's ability was justified. I have used Anthony Plumbing Heating Cooling for years. They replaced my central heat, later my central air, and recently replaced all the old cast iron pipes in my 60 year old home. I trust this company to stand behind their work. Plus, every technician they've ever sent out have been top notch."

"I initially believed the sewer line from my house to the main was covered by the city, but that turned out to be false. In Topeka, where I live, there are only a few companies, and they charge really high prices. So, I decided to look around in Kansas City. I probably won’t need their services again anytime soon, but they did an outstanding job!"

"We found out that our basement had flooded with sewer water due to a problem with our sewer line. We tried to clean it out to no avail, so we had to call in KC Flow Heroes. Ralph came out the next day to give a quote and started work immediately. He was efficient, communicative, and fairly priced. Would definitely recommended KC Flow Heroes to anyone."

"Homeowners beware; do your research before contacting Mr. Rooter or hiring them to do work on your home. First and foremost, this is not about price, but about quality of work and ownership. The technician that came out to our home was very friendly; however, the owner was not. I had a hot water heater and approximately 6 feet of copper lines to the hot water heater that needed to be replaced. The old lines had a couple of saddle valves in them; I needed one of those for a connection to an ice maker in a fridge. Prior to any work being started, I clearly expressed I did not want another saddle valve installed due to their poor quality. With that having been said, I was under the assumption they would be replacing it with a ball valve connection. Once the work was completed, I noticed they used one of my old saddle valves in the new line for the ice maker. After having discussed this with the owner, he came off defensive and abruptly stated they did not have a new valve because they do not carry them due to their poor quality. The owner stated we would have to pay an additional cost for a different valve, however, given the price and work we agreed on, $1400, this should never have been a topic up for discussion AFTER the work was completed. The price of the hot water heater we received from Mr. Rooter is approximately $479 at Loweà ¢à à s, the ball valve is about $25. On a side note, according to HomeAdvisor, the average cost of a hot water heater installation in KC is $880. We were told by the owner that yes, we could have purchased from Loweà ¢à às if we knew how to install or flat out said, we could have researched better and found a different plumber. I have to question the integrity of an owner who thinks ità ¢à às ok to run his business and allow his employees to re-install a used product against the wishes of their customers knowing this will affect the quality and efficiency of their customerà ¢à às homes in the future. UPDATE: Mr. Rooter came back out at no cost and replaced the saddle valve with a ball valve."

"I have 2 rental houses and am not a great plumber myself so I have used probably 5 different ones that I got from Angie?s List. Most of them were very good plumbers but they all drained my pocket book when they were finished and charged outrageous prices for not only parts but a couple charged over $100.00 an hour for their travel to and from my house.  I don?t know about everyone else, but I was tired of getting ripped off by plumbers until Rooter Fast.  I admit, that in my opinion, plumbing is the most difficult skill to learn in the construction industry (anyone who has gone to the Hardware Store to try to even buy plumbing parts will tell you the same) .  But come on, most charge as much as attorneys and doctors.
First Experience
My first experiance with Rooter Fast occurred when tree roots clogged the main drain in one of my rental houses.  I called two different plumbers.  The first tied to use a sewer snake.  They concluded that I needed a new drain line and quoted me $7,100 to install a liner in the drain.  No way I could afford that, so I called the second plumber who actually used a rooter and ran out of rooter line about 100 feet (still had about 30 feet to go the city sewer).  Although he did not get all the way to the city manhole, he was pretty sure I needed a new main also.  They quoted ~$2,500 to dig up and replace the line.
I called Rooter Fast based on Angie?s list recommendations to get another bid for line replacement. When I explained what happened to David Cox of Rooter Fast, he seemed skeptical that I even needed to replace the line.  Said he would come out and look at my house.  He called me the next day and told me that he knows some of the people at the second company and he called them up to discuss my situation.  David said that company #2 would come back and rooter the drain all the way to sewer for an extra $50.00.  They did that and it cleared the drain completely.
How many plumbers do you know who would do that?  David could have given me an alternate bid to replace the line, or at a minimum, re-rooter the sewer himself.  He also followed up with a phone call to be sure they had taken care of me.  He was more service oriented than both of the other 2 companies and Fast Rotter didn?t even make a dime.  Sure saved me a ton of
money!
Second Experience
Since e then I have had Rooter Fast to install a drain under my kitchen sink. I got a new sink that is lower than the previous one and Rooter Fast had to cut the vertical main pipe in the wall to make the stub out lower.  The first time David came out he stopped by because we could not use our kitchen sink.  He rigged up a temporary fix for a couple days until they could come back and fixed
it the way he wanted. He also snaked out a bathroom drain.  Did not charge for temp fix on the sink even though he used some of his own parts. They came out a couple days later and fixed the drain to their high standards They also noticed a leak from my dishwasher and redoped the fitting and tightened it up.  They automatically fixed it under the same service call.

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Harrisonville, MO

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
