I further explained I was just looking for a diagnosis of the problem, that my son would take care of the fix. Mike was confident he?d identify the problem within an hour. Mike gave it the old college try but at the end of 90 minutes my computer was completely dismantled and I didn?t have a definitive answer of the problem. Mike did say he ?had never seen this before?, not something you want to hear from your doctor or the computer guy you just paid $120 to help you. The most he could do was speculate the problem was either the cpu, the motherboard, or both. His money was on the motherboard. He gave me a range of prices for replacements for those parts then said to give him a call to let him know what I wanted to do. I told him I?d tell my son of Mike?s hypothesis and go from there."
