"Joe Oakes was great from start to finish - he came out and did an estimate for us, explained what type of materials they would use, etc. He then sent us photos of what it would look like. My husband and I went back and forth on color options of the deck materials several times and Joe was very patient with us and helped by giving his opinion. The day of the installation was a breeze - Joe and his team showed up first thing in the morning and finished the entire deck by end of day! They also acquired the permit and submitted the permit application on their own - which we found to be a huge plus and a very rare service, not provided by any other deck installer's that we received quotes from. The deck looks fantastic and you can see the quality throughout all the details of the design. I highly recommend Joe and First State Building."

"We met with Matt of Executive Builders for a quote on building a new garage at our house.  Matt met with us at our home on several occasions to work out details involved in the design of the garage, which was complicated due to the restrictive nature of our lot and proximity to the property line where the garage had to be located. The level of customer support provided by Matt was exceptional.  He volunteered to come out and meet with us on weekends so as to accommodate our schedules, staked out potential footprints for the garage, and even brought out a metal detector to help locate pins marking the property boundary.  We have dealt with numerous contractors and service providers over the years, and I must say we were most impressed with Matt's level of customer service,  his knowledge of construction details, and his willingness to work with us to help work around design issues that arose during the course of our discussions.  He made some great suggestions for  details that would enhance the overall look and usefulness of the design, and was quick to turn around updated quotes based on changes we wanted. <br /> Unfortunately,  due to unforeseen issues that arose, we were not able to build the garage.  We had full confidence in Matt's and Executive Builders ability to construct the garage we wanted.  Their pricing was not out of line, and it was competitive with other builders we'd spoken with.  I will have no qualms about contacting Matt and Executive Builders in the future if other projects or remodeling become necessary. <br />"

"Rob and his two sons recently completed a master bedroom suite addition to our home. This was a 6 month job that ultimately was far more complex than originally envisioned, but the Shuttles knocked it out of the park. This is the second large job we've used Rob for, and the quality of the workmanship did not disappoint. He worked with us throughout the entire process, from permits through completion, and we never once worried that anything would be less than perfect. At the end of the day we had a top-of-the-line master suite that is now the highlight of our house."

"John and his son, John, are professional, courteous, honest, and intelligent workers. The installation went without a hitch. John had to lengthen the cat door tunnels to accomodate the 12 inch thick wall and used a metal bender to make perfect sheet metal extensions. He and his son also modified and braced support structure work I had previously completed to make it more secure and stable. The catio structures were mounted high on the exterior of the garage wall as I had required. The job was performed perfectly. I would hire again in a heartbeat."
