"I hired Lone Star Plumbing. I called them and they sent someone right out. I thought the leak was from a out side faucet that had a leak between the inside wall and the outside wall, When the plumber got here, He said he couldn't find any evidence of a leak there. He checked the bathroom next door and found the leak. It was coming into the room next door, from underneath the wall. He had it fixed in an hour. I felt the price was very fair, and I was very satisfied with the work I fel"

"My daughter is going to school at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My daughter's car was making a and quot;funnyand quot; noise. She called and asked me where to take it. Being that I am not familiar with Abilene I had no idea what to tell her. My husband suggesting looking at Angie's List. What a great idea that was. I looked for repair shops in Abilene and read the reviews. I selected Pittman due in part to the coupon they offered. She took the car to Pittman's. They found the noise to be a rear wheel bearing. They called her within an hour or so of her dropping the car off with the quote and asking her if she wanted the work done. They had the car fixed in about an hour after that. The car was in the shop for less than four hours. She also had the oil changed. <br /> <br /> I am always worried that auto repair places try to take advantage of women. I get more concerned with her because she is so trusting and so young looking, she looks like she is 12. What they said was wrong sounded dead on right to me. (I am more versed on cars that the average person.) They treated her very professionally and polietly. She had a coupon from Angie's List. They told her that the student discount was better and gave her the better deal. <br /> <br /> I is very comforting to know that there is someone there in Abilene that I feel that I can trust. She still has 3.5 more years there and I am pretty sure she will need more car repair. She will continue to go to Pittman's for any repairs she needs. <br /> <br /> I do not know if the price was fair or not, I don't live in Abilene and have no idea what prices are there."

"He was very quick to come do the job. Had to get some parts so he came back the next day exactly when he said he would. I think the parts were around $75 and the labor was around $275. Good service. I was pleased with the work, just didn't know it was going to be that expensive. <br />"

"I called him to service a tankless water heater. He was polite but told me that he had just started a major job and couldn't get to me for a <br /> week. He then told me that no one he knew serviced this particular make of tankless water heater. I spoke to the manufacturer - Bosch - and they confirmed that the nearest authorized service was 250 miles away. No Sweat recommended going back to an old fashioned <br /> tank which I considered a bad idea and not up to current methodology. <br /> Eventually I just replaced the unit myself. While a "certified technician" is required this was simply disconnect and reconnect existing lines and vents and since a certified tech did the original install that wasn't an issue <br />"

"They have been great. They cover all appliances, heating, air, and plumbing. It is $60 for an initial visit to have a ticket open. They basically fix whatever the problem is, but any secondary damage, like in my case. I had a pipe burst. They helped me with the pipes, but all of the flooding, I had to go through my homeowners insurance as a result of that. It is a little bit of paperwork, but it has been working well for me.  <br /> <br /> I didn't do a whole lot of comparison shopping. The first year of service was a gift from my real estate agent. I don't think the price has been awful for what they have covered. I have just had great service and had no reason to change."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Hawley, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
