Normally, having both cars “trapped” in the garage would be an annoyance — we could just reschedule our following day around a service call. The first order of business was to try to get the spring replaced.We called our usual service company but they had no one free for “emergency” service that late in the day. "I was given a quote over the phone after describing what happened to my garage door and answering a few questions. The time for the repair was given and the man showed up before the time quoted ready to go to work. I followed his suggestion about having 1 spring or 2 springs and opted for 2 in case 1 broke it would still allow me to raise the door with the 1 unbroken and assisted by me and the motor. The job was completed within 45 minutes and I paid the quoted price. This is the second time I've had to replace the spring(s) in the 22 years I've owned my home. I would rate this service the best. Two things I liked about this company, they didn't say they would show up between 8-11am they said I'll be there at 8am, and they didn't try to guess at a price they quoted and I paid the quoted price.
