"Gerry Perez led a team of 3 men who did a bathtub removal and shower install in one day. All were professional, courteous, hard-working. And the results: a beautiful new shower. We are all so pleased with the work done. Gerry stayed and explained cleaning and warranty information. Mark Curran was our sales rep and there were no surprises associated with the project. Mark also followed up to see if any problems with satisfaction. We were very satisfied with American Home Design, and would highly recommend for future projects."

"Walter and Son’s LLC did a fantastic job on my kitchen facelift! Amazing work was completed without subcontractors. Walter’s sons, Mike, Mitchell and Andrew handled the complete job from start to finish with the upmost professionalism and courtesy. My kitchen upgrade included: subway Tile backsplash, granite countertop, complete cabinet resurfacing and painting wall & trim. They went above and beyond to correct a minor plumbing problem and installed two new light fixtures."

"Clint is a great salesman and very friendly but i would not recommend him and his team for any type or repair. We had a long list of projects - about 25 of varying size. Clint initially quoted 65 hours. After 2 weeks, 2 of the projects were done plus several other projects we did not request. I was presented with a bill for 24 hours of work. Also at this time, i was alerted that the front door was damaged beyond repair while replacing the locks (it is going to cost me several thousand dollars to replace our front entrance). Clint also alerted me that he had spilled a can of paint in our garage and driveway - something be told me his team would clean up but there is now a permanent stain in or garage. We had also sourced 8 closet doors through Clint which he left out in the rain and ruined. I questioned Clint on the initial invoice since only 2 small projects had been completed. I was told of all the other projects that had been completed that were not in our list. I showed clint the list of projects he had put together that did not include these additional projects, and he told me my wife had told him to do them (they spoke 1 time, very briefly, this was untrue) Ultimately, we decided it was best to settle up for the work done and go our separate ways. In the end, i was charged for 68 hours and had only a handful of projects completed. I told clint i wanted to have someone assess the damage his team had done to my front door before settling the bill, but he threatened to put a lean against our new house if i did not pay him by the following business day. I paid more to clint to have a small portion of our projects completed than I was initially quoted, i have a permanently damaged front door and garage, and i was threatened legal action when i tried to validate the damages. I have had painters, locksmiths and another handyman all come do work in the few weeks since i fired Clint and every one of them has shown me something new that Clint’s team did wrong and will need to be re-done. My second handyman completed more of the tasks on our list and fixed a few of the items clint’s team messed up and charged me 10% what clint charged me."

"Maplewood Construction and Mr. Delgado and his crew are true professional! They built a porch roof with post and railings on a small house I own in Woodbury and it has made such an improvement to the appearance of this old house! They not only are professional, but honest, reasonable, and punctual! Mr. Delgado has years of experience in interior and exterior construction and truly cares about the quality of his work and so does his team. They also built a laundry shelf for this house and put in attic roof supports. I highly recommend them and will call them again! Thank you Maple Construction! ?"

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in Hermitage, TN

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
