"Gene did an excellent job replacing a brick accent wall on the front of my home. He recommended a different shade of stone from the original and the house now pops on the street. It looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Gene. He is reliable, honest and does excellent work at a reasonable price. My neighbors were stopping and asking him to provide a quote for their homes."

Showed up on a Thursday and within a bit of time had a saw break. Called me and asked to be advance so he could get it fixed-which I thought was odd. He told me he was on Angies list, so I could trust him. Well, at this point I do not know him from Adam, but I could him an 80% advance an hoped that I was not a sucker. He showed up again a week or so later and finally did finish the tree, but not the stump. He told me he had 6-7 trees to grind and wanted to rent a grinder and do the all the same day. To his defense, we had rain on a couple of consecutive  Saturdays that he said he was going to do the grinding. Finally, about five weeks later he did get out and finish it and it looks good. I would use him again, since I now know that he can be trusted just an adventure for what was supposed to be a two day job. And he is a super nice guy on the phone.

Every job was done well, definitely five-star. The workers were polite and professional-- a joy to work with."

"Sonny tore our subflooring out and replaced it and put in beautiful top flooring. He installed a new stool and sink and painted. Turned out beautiful. I would recommend him to anyone. He communicated well and the price was good. He cleaned up after the remodel so I did not have to do much and that was great. He is a bright young man and wonderful personality with us. He can tackle just about anything. Dependable and hard working to do just what u like."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Highlandville, MO

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
