"Mark arrived promptly and took care of the project quickly and cleanly. He then noticed we had some incorrect piping in the basement. He fixed that problem as well, even though it was messy and unscheduled. His workmanship is excellent, and his prices are very fair. We plan to hire Mark any time we need a plumbing project done."

"Jay was the plumber that was working with our contractor.  Jay was a pleasure to work with.  This was a difficult job as it was not new construction so there was alot of hole-sawing upstairs and figuring out how to run the pipes.  I had alot of questions for Jay but he took the time to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it that way.  He was always very patient and cheerful - he has a good sense of humor too. <br /> Just this week we had a small problem with one of the new fittings.  I called Jay about it - he came right over and repaired it free of charge, as he said that it was part of the original job and he wanted us to be happy with it. <br /> I would highly recommend Jay to anyone that asks.  I would give him an A++ if possible.  Definitely the first person I would call for any future plumbing jobs. <br /> Try him out - see for yourself.  :) <br /> <br />"

"Incredibly speedy response to Angie's List request for bids! They sent someone over the same day, two days before Christmas, and took care of my flooded basement by installing a new sump pump and new PVC piping. All staff were prompt and courteous. Definitely recommend."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Hillsborough, NH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
