"When I called to set up an appointment to get an estimate, I had to leave a voice message which always makes me slightly uneasy when I'm calling during business hours. However, I received a call back the same day and was able to schedule an appointment with ease. When Charlie came to provide the estimate, I walked him around my house to show him my areas of concern (wood paneling chewed by critters), he pointed out a few I hadn't noticed. And afterwards he provided recommendations and options taking into account cost effectiveness but not at the expense of quality. "I contacted Jett Roofing to repair a leak in my roof in my new (for me) home. I assumed there was a leak as there were water spots that had appeared in a newly painted ceiling. Richard at Jett Roofing came out the same day I called. He went up on the roof and said he saw evidence of recent roof repairs and that he believes I no longer have a leak. He thought the water spots were not properly painted with kilz by the previous owner and had bled through. He was correct. That was my first experience with Richard and I was impressed with his honesty that he did not perform work that was unnecessary. Richard arranged for a painter to repair the water damage. His crew was very professional and I had them perform a number of other paint and trim related repairs. "I contacted Mr. Nabors about the drywall repair thru Angies List. He responded, came to our home and looked at the work, which consisted of repairing 3  small areas where walls had been cut open to repair plumbing. Later he called and said he had a drywall man available, and priced the job. The bid was a little higher than I expected but included the drywall repair as well as replacing the necessary trim, and since we were really tired of looking at the holes in the walls, I told John to do the job.
  Mr. Nabors had a sub-contractor come to our home and begin the work. He did the repairs over 2 days due to the time required for the drywall compound to cure. When he finished on the second day, he told me that Mr. Nabors wanted a check immediately. I was tied up with an appliance delivery, so I took a quick look at the repairs that had been done and wrote a check.. The sub contractor called a couple of days later and asked if we were satisfied with the work. I told him that he had used the wrong "foot" trim in a bathroom, and he said he'd be glad to come back and replace it. We weren't able to set a time when we were both available, so finally I bought the trim and replaced it myself.
  My wife and I also learned the hard way that when a contractor sprays on drywall texture without using tape or plastic sheeting, that there is a lot of cleanup to be done, which apparently was not part of the job Mr. Nabors bid. We spent a good amount of time cleaning drywall patching compound off of our our custom coated garage floor.  Most of the food items in the pantry also required wiping down since they had a fine coat of compound from the spraying process.
  Looking back, if I take into consideration the cleanup time and trim replacement that we did that should have been part of the job, I'd have to say I paid too much for this job.

He made a quote to finish the fence and actually spoke to my neighbor when I left to run an errand who agreed (as we had discussed  in the past) who  agreed to go halves with me.

Dennis, the owner is VERY knowledgeable, knows his craft and LISTENS.

 He replaced one side of my fence, 1 gate replaced and 2 repaired.  All 3 gates are working perfectly.  I was delighted that he used all perfectly matched cedar planks and the gate in the front that he completely replaced was finished off BEAUTIFULLY!  He used lovely hardware. He dug and put in cement (neatly) all posts and assured they were straight. 

II have asked for a quote for the final 6 panels in the back, he's coming this weekend and I am anxious to have my entire fence look as great as the side he replaced!

"Rocky was on time when he came out to survey the work I needed done. He offered suggestions on how to repair the rotted fascia and wooden beam area which led to a cost savings and did not require me to hire a roofer. He quickly provided me with an estimate. He was working on another job at the time, but kept me up to date on his schedule and when he'd be able to start my job. During the conduct of the work, Rocky was timely (he arrived and left at a reasonable hour), courteous, professional, innovative, meticulous, extremely neat (he cleaned up every day before he left), kept us informed on his schedule (i.e., he let us know if he was not coming usually because of rain), and gladly performed the additional tasks we added onto his plate. The overhangs/house extensions are 18-20 feet high, probably 30+ feet long, 10+ feet wide, are constructed of wood, and have six wooden beams that go from the front through the house and to the back. Rocky hand painted both the front and back overhangs with a brush on a ladder. Any cleaned up any paint that dripped onto the patio. The fascia and beam repairs were very close to the edge of the swimming pool and could not be easily reached with the ladder alone. Rocky built a platform that he extended over a portion of the pool, counter weighted it, and placed his ladder on the platform while he was doing the repairs and painting. When he was done with the work, he disassembled the platform and hauled it away. Rocky took down two old ceiling fans that we had over the back patio and hauled them away. He installed two new fans and get them set up and working. One of the fans would not work so he got on the phone with the technical support group for the fan manufacturer to try to see how to fix the issue. We ended up having him take down the one fan that would not work properly(which we returned) and then put up the new replacement fan. Once again, he made sure both fans were working before he moved onto another task, and he hauled away the boxes from both fans. Having had a lot of work done at the house over the past year, I was impressed with Rocky's neatness. He cleaned up every night, consolidating ladders, paint cans, tarps, and other materials into one inconspicuous location before he left. He did not leave any trash laying around the yard, hoses were recoiled, paint drippings were removed, and when he left we didn't find nails or screws or anything else laying on the ground. We have identified other tasks that need to be done both inside and outside the house, and while my husband could do them, his first response was to "Call Rocky. He'll do a better job than me".
