"Air conditioner cycling on and off rapidly and not getting very cool. Old unit, but not ready to replace. Technician diagnosed and gave me options for "get by repair" and "better but not absolutely necessary repair". I opted for the latter. They recharged system and replaced contactor. We are cool now! Prompt and courteous, I'd call them again and would reccommend to to others."

"I chose Murf's from reviews on Angie's List on the basis of people's positive experiences and cost of repairs. The spin cycle on my Frigidare frontloading washing machine had stopped working. When I called Murf's, the woman answering listened to my description of the problem, took the model number of the machine and said she could schedule me the following day. I needed to wait an extra day due to my commitments and we set a time. Murf called to let me know he was on his way and  arrived promptly. He diagnosed the problem which turned out to be a bad door latch lock inside the machine and had the part with him. He double checked the part number before installing it. After he installed the switch, he made sure the machine cyclecd correctly including the spin, and made sure there was no water leakage around the door seal before he left. At my request, he also quoted me a price to replace the door hinge which is letting the door sag. He said as long as I was careful in alligning the door before closing it, he thought I could get by without fixing this but would be happy to do if I wanted him too. I felt the price for the repair he did and the price he quoted me for the hinge replacement were fair. He was careful in his handling of the machine and the surrounding area. I'm always curious about how things work and he was fine with my watching him and he answered any questions I had

"AC tech could not repair so called and scheduled a plumber. Plumber couldn't repair so called Baker Brothers. Eventually they just replace a condensate pipe that was attached next to furnace unit in closet of the house. Cost for 2 service calls was $70 each and cost for actual repair was $450 just to replace the pvc pipe and a couple of elbow joints made of pvc pipe. I had to pay for 2 service calls and no repair and then they would not reimburse for even the pipe mounting by someone who actually fixed the problem! Seems pretty expensive (including the cost of the actual Home Warranty contract! Not a happy customer on this particular item."
