"Initially all went well, they did a nice job putting in the pool and the first few years were fine. But as the pool aged and I required service, the response got bad. They did not answer emails or phone calls and it took repeated attempts to contact them to get anything done. The decking around pool warped and I asked them about fixing it and instead they hammered in a bunch of nails to hold it in place. When the external pool heater failed, I was promised that Art would come out and fix it. I waited all season and even when the pool was closed, they still didn't do anything. I finally had enough and changed company"

"As far as the repair goes, a grade for price would not be applicable. But for the pricing of the house construction, they had a very satisfactory system. M-R Builder sent all the work out for bid and was able to get very good costs from the sub-contractors which saved us money. We paid M-R Builder the cost of the sub-contracting work(i.e. framing, drywall, plumbing, etc.) plus an additional 15% that covered their overhead and insurance, supervision and profit. This system seemed to us to be fair and gave us control over our costs. Although their first two attempts to fix the problem were not successful, I still give them high marks for quality on the repair (A) and a (A) for the construction of our house. The owner was very responsive when I dropped off pictures of the water stains this Spring. Given that their construction business has suffered along with the rest of the builders in Michigan and that it has been 8 years since the house was completed, it is very commendable that the owner promptly got in contact with me to say that they would correct the problem as soon as the weather permitted them to work on the house. All the workers, supervisors and owners are very professional, courteous, friendly and provide explanations on what they are doing or what is scheduled to be done. Each day the work area was cleaned up."
