"Long story short, after calling all LG factory rep companies that LG gave me, none wanted to come or stated I live too far. I live in MPLS, a company in St. Paul didn't want to come. I found D&T on angies list. LG CSR didn't even know about D&T. Anyway, I called them to schedule an appointment. I already knew that the compressor was bad. Told them I needed a compressor put it. They gave me the quote to come out which was 95 and labor will be between 600-900 depending on my system and that they usually stock new compressors in the truck. I had read on angie's list that they had charged a customer around 500 so I was optimistic that it would be around the lower end. D&T came out on Friday, I called on Tuesday. Indeed I needed a new compressor. They had the new LG compressor in the truck so I didn't have to wait for LG to send me one, just needed my invoice for LG to reimburse them. I looked online, new compressor for my french door fridge is around 300. I was quoted 700 for everything including trip for coming out. I decided to go ahead and do it. Took about an hour to braze the new compressor in. 24-48 hours later my LG french door fridge is working good again. I got my fridge back again. I would recommend D&T appliance. Price was high but they were upfront about it, you just have to make your own decision. Either buy a new one or get it repair. Mine was a 33in so it was hard to find a french door with 33in. New would had been around 1500 and two weeks later. Great thing about D&T was that they had new LG compresssors in stock so I didn't have to wait 2 or more weeks to get it from LG."

"The work was done at a house in Falcon Heights. Donnie was great. The person taking the order was not. I explained that the leak was inside the house before the first valve, therefore, the water would have to be shut off by St. Paul water dept. The person taking the order wrote down "Inside piping for water meter is leaking." Consequently Donnie did not know to call (or have me call) St. Paul to come out and turn off the water at the street. When he called on Wed. to say he was on his way, I told him that the water would have to be turned off. He was surprised but said he would call the water dept to turn it off. He got here, we waited for them to come. When the first person came, she was unable to turn off the valve so called in a supervisor. At that point we agreed that Donnie should go on to his next job and I would call when the water was turned off. Well, the supervisor came out and also was unable to turn off the water. He said we are going to have to "dig." We set that up for Friday. Fortunately, St. Paul does not hold the home owner responsible for the cost of digging, unlike Minneapolis as Donnie said. I called Donnie to say "Don't come," and called the office to set up an appointment on the following Monday. We called the water dept who came and turned off the water, then I called Donnie and he came and completed the job in 1/2 hour. He charged me the first half hour the minimum for a service call, then for Monday he charged me the $34 per 15 minutes, considering this to be a continuation of the first call. Overall, he ended up spending considerably more than the total of one hour that I was charged. That was more than fair under the circumstances."

"I called for an appt. on one day and they were able to come the next day. They arrived promptly at the scheduled time (no: "between noon and 4--they set a specific time of 1 pm) and got right to work. They worked quickly and were able to do what I needed, in addition to suggesting replacing the washer from the non-leaking faucet handle as well as the leaking one (made sense because it is quite old). They were not able to snake out the bathtub because of a sealed drain, but gave me the suggestion of a product to use to help the sluggishness (which isn't even sluggish any more because of the chemical that they used). Cleaned up after themselves. I do not know how much plumbers charge so I really don't know if their price was fair. It seemed like a lot to me, but, on the other hand, I am glad to have the work finished and was happy to pay such a professional company."

"My father-in-law came over on Sunday night and attempted to patch the leak with plumbers putty and duct tape. We turned off the water to the house just in case. I called early Monday morning to make an appointment, and was told they couldn't come until Tuesday morning. But early Monday afternoon they called back and said they'd had a cancellation and could come between 2 and 4 pm. The plumber called shortly after and said he could meet me at the house in 15 minutes and was there on the dot. He was very pleasant and helpful, knew just what to do, and suggested that if this would happen again electrical tape would work better than duct tap and explained why. I appreciated that helpful hint. He was very tidy, always wiped his feet going in and out of the basement. He replaced a section of pipe and showed me the bad one and suggested causes for the leak, if I wanted to submit this to insurance. The whole job was done in 45 minutes, and I am very pleased with the work and the experience. There was no attempt to sell more than was needed, and I didn't feel intimidated or conned in any way. I would definitely call them again."
