"Josh was the 14th mason we contacted for replacing our brick back in around our newly installed front door with side windows. The previous 13 were either too busy right now, wouldn't use our bricks, didn't want to do the tedious work of zig-zag sawing around bricks, complained that it would be too difficult, or were just plain no-shows to scheduled appts. Josh apparently did the impossible job that others couldn't or wouldn't do! He used the brick we had from the old door being cut out, did the necessary zig-zag sawing around the bricks on one side of the door, put in vertical "soldier" bricks above and below the door, matched the mortar color (which others said would not be possible), and did the extra job requested of putting in vertical "soldier"bricks above a separate window on the front of our house. He installed angle irons above the door and window to hold up the soldier bricks. And, he did all this work around a newly installed door, having protected the door well with a tarp and boards. (Normally his job would be much easier to do BEFORE the door was installed.) He tidied up every day before he left, and he did a great final clean-up. Communication was prompt. He was very courteous. And his price was better than fair. We paid him a good bit extra, because he was willing to do the "impossible" job that others didn't want, and his work was excellent. It WAS a tough job! The result is exactly what we had hoped for! He took the challenge and impressed us. Obviously, we highly recommend that you don't waste your time getting other estimates. You probably won't find better!"

"Overall, I am not satisfied with Hastings and Sons Concrete and recommend using caution before signing any contract with this company. They agreed to perform the job as I requested, however throughout the process they changed how they performed the job. Examples: They still have not provide the diagram with measurement (depth, width, length, and location) for the four pillars they installed after several requests. Without this diagram, I do not know if the pillars are to code. They said they would use expansion joints and used none. Said they would use saw cuts and changed to control joints. Said the patio would be even with door ways, but during installation they said based on code they could not do what the sales rep agreed to. I had to identify that they did not use rebar in one section of the patio, then they added rebar after it was brought to their attention. I also identified that the gravel base was not hard compacted as the mobile dump machine was sinking into the gravel and got suck several times, however Mr. Hastings continued pouring the concrete anyway. I do not believe I saw the whole contract on the computer tablet; after signing, they printed me a copy so I could read the whole contract and I would not have sign or used this contractor if I had been able to read all the terms and conditions beforehand. Their brochure states a 99.9% customer satisfaction rate, after researching this company this does not appear true. The only positive thing is that they were quick to complete the job the next day, minus providing the agreed upon diagrams."

They even attended a tricky permitting hearing to ensure our county zoning board had all of the facts to approve our build. The result has been nothing short of stunning, picturesque, and worthy of an award. "Hired to replace my existing plaster ceilings with drywall, replace the old blown insulation in the attic with batt insulation, install a new ceiling fan including wiring, and rewire an existing ceiling fan. Juan and his guys are efficient and professional. They always showed up in the estimated time frame. They cleaned up the work area every day before they left and cleaned up at the end of the project. Extremely pleased with the finished work. Jason, the owner, is very responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls. Kitchen ceiling was cracked and falling the day after the estimate and I called Jason and he sent Juan out within an hour or so to brace the ceiling to keep it from falling. This was before I had even signed a contract. He had absolutely no obligation to do that, but I extremely appreciate it. It saved me a mess and damage to deal with. Would absolutely hire them again in the future and highly recommend them."

"Terry and Michael are great installers. The owner of the business is very hard to deal with and will not take care of issues that arise. I have been trying for 11/2 years to have my kitchen floor fixed. The owner Todd said I bought discontinued floor and it was my fault that it is coming apart. The tongue and groove edges cracked causing my floor to come up due to an employee beating my floor in place. The employee no longer works there but Todd refuses to fix my floor. I have gaps in my living room and a bad spot in my bedroom. I contacted the flooring company and they told me that the floor was not properly installed. They offered to send replacement flooring, but I would have to pay shipping. I would also have to pay someone to tear up my kitchen and install the new floor. Todd put frog tape on my floor and said they would get caulk and other things to fix my floor. This was 5 months ago and I never heard a word from them. Todd does not believe in customer service and once he has your money he is finished no matter what issues arise."
