"Excellent service, will hire again! I called them outside their business hours (or maybe during lunchtime I don't remember) and didn't leave any messages and they still called me back after finding my missed call. Originally they said that I was out of their service area (I live in South Tampa) but because I live in a condo and had other units who needed service, they made an exception and came out to my area with a small extra charge for time and gas. They were punctual and very professional, no mess, no dirt anywhere. The final cost was as agreed and I was able to pay by credit card. the price was cheaper than other providers I contacted and actually for the dryer I paid the same amount I paid 2 years ago (different company) where they didn't even go on the roof (these guys did!)."

"I hired Rick O’Neal to replace stucco on the back of my house and do some small stucco repairs. I am very satisfied with the results. Everything he did looks great. He was very professional and honest with me about what did and didn’t need to be done. I will hire him again if I need stucco work done in the future and highly recommend him."

"They also installed tile and a new bathroom closet. It was a satisfactory job. The tile work was the very best. The drywall wasn't the very best. They mounted towel bars and I had to call him back twice on one of them, before finally fixing it myself. They were always on time, very punctual. They were also respectful and cleaned up their mess. We didn't have any problems with them being in the house."

"Went pretty well. John is VERY hyperactive--bounces all over the place. He writes the bid and another crew comes out to do the work. Was a relatively small repair job, but they were glad to fit me in. John also found some other more expensive work I needed done, but he was absolutely correct that there was a problem I had not seen, so I had them fix that also. This was a multi step job (because of wood repair and stucco drying). Three of the 5 parts are done, and I have to arrange part 5 (painting) myself when John's team is done. I'm confident at some point they will return for part 4 of the job, but they have not billed me for part 4 yet, so it's all good. Generally, the work was good and the price was reasonable."

"Hurricane Milton took most of the siding off one side of the upper part of my house. I collected all the pieces (or so I thought) and just needed them put back up. It turned out to be a more complicated job than we all initially thought. Javier and his assistant worked over and over to put the puzzle back together until we realized an 10 inch piece was missing. I was able to buy a piece, match the paint, and Javier came back and finished the job. He advised me on what to get and stayed in contact through the entire process. He is very professional, courteous, and persistent. Yes, I would recommend King Stucco and Javier."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Hudson, FL

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
