"This is a family owned business and they offer a fair price for good quality products and very professional installation crews. I had all my doors and windows replaced. It was a big job. I highly recommend Star Home Improvements and I can't say enough good things about them."

"Ray, was contracted after the "First Contractor" was paid and left our home a mess with hanging live wires, no smoke detectors, missing toilet, walk in closet disassembled, and the list goes on.....Ray arrived the next day after contacting me. Agreed to a quote from Angie's list. Installed toilet, dishwasher, kitchen faucet, resembled closets, hung doors, and installed smoke detectors. All in one day!!!!!! Ray's my go-to GUY forever. Kind , courteous, proficient, and professional..... I strongly recommend Ray, for all your handyman projects!!!! Anthony Ewing Woodstock Virginia"

"We had an issue with water dripping in from our Box Bay Window. He came by the next day and fixed it without us needing to be home. There was a heavy storm the next day and we had no more leaks. Great Service"

"It went well! The guys were friendly and honest, particularly about one aspect of the door opener mounting."

"The installation was efficient and satisfactory; however, I would have appreciated it if the sales rep, when meeting with me at my home and going over the options, would have pointed out that the color of the window frame would not match the color of surrounding wood."

"We couldn't have done it without Travis and his assistant.  They worked tirelessly day after day for over two months and were always in a positive, can do mood.  Travis addressed all of our restoration needs, no matter how big or small.

"Tony did a lot in three days: refinished the floors in two rooms, painted, removed an old washer/dryer unit and built shelves in the alcove. We have been looking for months for someone reliable to do work on our place in Sperryville. Tac's Handy Services is the answer. We highly recommend!"

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"It went very well.  This job took much longer than anticipated, a few unexpected problems were encountered along the way that slowed it down.  The ordering of materials took longer than anticipated and at times we were waiting for those items to arrive.  This was not the contractor's fault though.  The biggest slow-down was the shower glass installation, which KDK was not responsible for.  What was expected to take 2 weeks took 2 months for the shower installation, and Dave was constantly checking with us to see if the shower had been completed during the wait for the glass to arrive.

The biggest problem, as another person has mentioned, is that this is a very small work crew, a two man team and if one man is down for some reason things slow down significantly.  The workmanship was superb, and no attention to detail is spared, very nice craftsmanship.
Cost was kept to the contracted amount.  We added in an item at the last minute and received a very fair cost for this additional work.
Highly recommend!"
