During the bidding process they answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly, their proposal was thorough and clear, and they were happy to discuss my ideas, thoughts and concerns. The crew that did the work was fantastic. Those guys are pros. The scope of work included all new framing and drywall (up to code, unlike before they came in), replacing that damn stucco ceiling with new drywall, upgrading the bathroom and kitchenette, new flooring, new basement door and replacing the ancient basement window, plus upgrades to the interior basement stairs and bathroom exhaust fans. "I am having a truly unpleasant experience with 7th State Builders. I paid 14,450.00$ deposit in good faith. They were contracted to rebuild my deck, place a roof structure and screen on the deck. I trusted that they would complete the work. Instead, they took my money and one year later had not even started on the project. Not only did they fail to perform the agreed-upon services for the deck, but I was forced to hire an attorney to try and recover my deposit. Which I haven?t yet (over one year). Thus, creating unnecessary expenses to an already frustrating situation. I would strongly advise against using this company.
