"Brian (owner/designer) and his team did an excellent job and really exceeded our expectations. We wanted to plant some new trees, redo and expand two beds in the backyard, and clean up the landscaping around the boarders of the house. Brian was quick to respond. He is extremely knowledgable and clearly passionate about his work. He had really great ideas about the types of trees, grasses and flowers that we should plant and where. More importantly he was able to clearly explain the rationale of everything. He also would tell us if something wasn't worth the money and areas that we could save on costs. He was able to also tell us why our old fire pit patio was growing moss in one area (poor drainage). His team was able to fix this issue as well at no extra cost by creating a small drainage slit in one of the bricks. After the initial consultation, he quickly mocked up a 3D model of the backyard beds and emailed it to us the next day. He later sent a more detailed blueprint of the backyard beds with the flower, tree, grass, and rock placement along with a detailed itemized list of the individualized projects with a quote. The final cost remained the same as the quote too. His team of workers were very professional and worked really efficiently. They arrived early in the morning and were able to complete everything in two days when I had anticipated it would take almost a week. Brian was there to supervise every aspect and walked us through each day as work started making sure were were happy with each aspect. He would also call later in the afternoon to check in. The final result was excellent and of high quality especially compared to some of the old existing landscaping where we could see corners were cut. Brian then spent about 20-30 minutes after everything was done walking us through everything, discussing the watering plan, the weed control tips, and tree protection in the winter and providing us with handouts as well. We'll definitely be using them again."

"Detail Stone is the best contractor we have ever worked with. The stonework is great and they left the rest our property in a better state then when they first arrived. They made sure everything was totally complete before asking for payment. We couldn't be happier!"

"We hired David Hastings construction for our downstairs kitchen, living room, 1/2 bath remodel of our 1300 sq ft condo in Aptos. We needed to have a gas line installed for stove and new gas fireplace. Hastings actually came in with the lowest bid and was very professionally presented. We enjoyed working with David to identify sources of cabinets, flooring, tile, and quartz countertops. We went with Home Depot cabinets and flooring, and overall was satisfied with the quality of materials and installation. he had some clever ideas about expanding the space underneath the stairs, 1/2 bath more efficient layout, and designing the TV installation above the fireplace. David hires excellent subcontractors who did new HVAC installation, new electrical panel, new wiring, new plumbing, flooring, and countertop and tile install. David is very meticulous in his work and the finish work that shows in the final product which we are very satisfied with. Of course the project took longer than we thought it was going to take, but that is perhaps to be expected. Overall an outstanding job and we would definitely hire him again."

"Prima Construction (Kim Studham and crew) completed a bathroom remodel in our St. Paul home in Jan 2019. I was excited to work with a women contractor, she really knows her stuff, the results are beautiful. During the project, I appreciated Kim's weekly emails to summarize progress and the plan for the next week. Kim always responded to questions and made sure we were happy with the work. When remodeling an almost 100-year-old bathroom with the original drain pipes it is kind of all or nothing. They even saved us a few items found in the floorboards from 1922. I have many pieces of mind with all the pipes replaced and know it is good for a very long time. The bathroom has been transformed, it now has a shower and the old bathtub was replaced with beautiful new soaking tub. Kim showed me multiple options for the final trim details. It all came together. The design includes a classic white subway tile with this amazing patterned floor tile.
