"I signed the contract for the garage in April 2014.  It took until September to complete the relatively simple construction.  The contractors that were hired for the work (the owners only installed the garage doors) did a good job on each element when they were there.  The price was reasonable and didn't change.  We got a 24x24 two car garage.  The problem was with the placement of the garage initially.  The owner who provided the estimate did not understand the issues associated with where we wanted the garage and we had to move locations twice.  Then it seemed as if work only got performed when I called and pushed for it.  Even then, work was often not performed when requested. <br>Bottom line is the work itself was done well, within cost, and the finished product is good. The management of the job was erratic at best and took months longer than necessary.  I would recommend any of the performers, but would not buy from Affordable Garages again."

He built a new porch/stair railing and installed a new door on our 1925 craftsman bungalow, which is no small feat with an old home. He was able to protect and reinstall the original trim around the door which we really appreciated so we could keep that look which we love. We also appreciated all of the great communication from Mim for scheduling the work."

"<p>I could not have been happier with this experience.  We received 3 bids, and Jerry's was right in line.  He had to tear down an old brick garage and build a new, much larger garage.  The tear down was the most difficult part, but Jerry was very clear all along about the difficulty with permitting and the resource constraints with the demo team.</p> <p>Once the demo was done, the rest of the project took 2 1/2 to 3 weeks.  Jerry was incredibly responsive, and very accommodating to some changes we wanted to make along the way.  The quality of the work is fantastic, and the garage looks great.  I would highly, unequivocally recommend Jerry and Republic garages.</p>"

They weren't the highest bid or the lowest but seemed to offer the guidance that we needed. We met at their office and felt comfortable right away. Dustin Baker is a very honest man, Susanne, the designer did just that, she is great! I can't say enough about Jay the construction manager. "The guys at Solid Rock are true professionals. They recently installed 183 feet of cedar fence in our backyard. They handled the building permit and called for utility locates before the project started. We had to alter plans because of under ground utilities. They were easy to work with and flexible with the plans. They removed bushes along the fence line prior to install and hauled away the branches. The project lasted 5 work days for 2 workers. Day 1 was prep. Day 2 was post hole digging. Day 3 was spent setting the posts in concrete. Days 4 and 5 were spent framing and hanging the pickets.The final product looks great. The fence is uniform and straight. All work matches expectations."

"When I saw what a mess the previous carpenter had left, and had refused to fix, we were under an extremely tight timeline and didn't know how to get this redone quickly, as painters were coming in the next week to paint our home. We were in a jam, so I went on Angies list on a Saturday and found All About Awesome Construction. I called them...Ben (the owner) answered the phone. He was incredible. He said he would have one of his carpenters out first thing Monday morning. Pete came out and had a great attitude, was friendly, very courteous, professional in appearance, and redid everything so it looks great and is now done properly. When he saw the "make-shift" flashing the previous carpenter did, he asked us to zip over to the local hardware store and we got what he needed. Pete exceeded our expectations at every turn. Wow...how refreshing. We are going to hire them to install a new custom front entry door next. Ben is going to coordinate with the architect and structural engineer if we need a new larger header."

"We very much wanted to patio to be a seamless extension of the house. Bill and Jeremy made sure that from the color of the stucco to the type of granite used on the countertops matched perfectly. The timeline of the project was approximately 3 weeks and there was never a problem with that. Weather posed a problem a bit, but nothing 2HP did caused delays in getting the job done. We also had them install a fence for our backyard and that was flawless as well. They were great to work with and listened to all of our needs/wants while suggesting a few ideas of their own.
