"I was dissappinted. Garrett was always my first choice for plumbing needs. I later learned that the terrific family owned company had been sold to the people I called, who were using the same name. But now they're just another unknown company to me, and have to rebuild their reputation before I ever use them again.
I think when a family owned company is no longer family owned, been sold, Angie's List subscribers should be updated about that.

"Cass plumbing has replaced my garbage disposal as well as my water heater. I hired them to install a new burst washing machine hose as well as put on new water heater valves. And I just hired them to replace the bathroom tub faucet. Specifically I hire Richard with Cass plumbing and he enters my place without me their bills me fairly. I will use absolutely no other plumber or plumbing company to enter my residence without me present. And if they are a little bit more expensive itΓ’ s totally worth the peace of mind in the quality of their work and knowing that my place will be safe even though IΓ’ m not there. And their work is guaranteed.. I would absolutely hire them if I were you without reservation."

"After unsuccessfully hiring 'root-based' issue, Elite was able to 1) identify the true cause of the issue which was actually caused by Verizon's excavation of our frontage/sewer asccess, completely cutting through our sewer pipe to the sub system, and 2) managed to dig through our access sewer portal to release the unbelievably horrid build-up that resulted from 2 weeks of this nightmare. They assisted me in contacting the Pinellas County Utility folks who were dispatched to address the broken sewer pipe issue."

"Scott did a great job! He is fast to respond, friendly, efficient and considered our budget. We had the main sewer pipe replaced, which is a big job. We had 3 quotes from other local Plumbers and Free Flow Plumbing had the best price hands down. I highly recommend Scott and his company."

"The plumber that came out resolved the main leak, but in doing so had broken up part of the sidewalk which was left unrepaired. A call to customer service to get this fixed was never answered."

"I had an awesome experience with Gulf Shore Plumbing. I needed a sewer line repair quickly. Joey from Gulf Shore came and diagnosed the issue the next day. Then two days later him and his crew made what seemed like an extensive repair look easy. The price I was quoted was the price I paid which is a rare find nowadays. I definitely will be using them again !"

"I called James K Hafke for a second opinion for a sewer pipe that needed replacing. The other company was pushing to break up cement foundation to replace the pipe that was located under the building and had stated an estimate within a couple of days but didn't contact me till much later than promised. Michael (Hafke) came and photographed the pipe to see if replacing it was needed and then to determine all my options. The options and estimate were given right away and I engaged their services. Sal came a day or two later and started digging but first took care of clog to avoid another backup. He was very professional and kept me informed of their progress. The pipe was replaced the following day and a week later the inspector signed off on the project and Sal replaced the dirt over the pipe. The area was left extremely clean with the pavers lined up against the wall for them to be placed back over. I would hire James K Hafke again in a heartbeat and Sal was the best!!"

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Indian Rocks Beach, FL

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
