"This is an excellent construction company. Jas and his dad are just amazing and very knowledgeable on what they do. Their work ethics, suggestions, cleanup at the end of each day, attention to detail, information given at different stages, budget handling, etc was impeccable. They worked till late and with my tantrums. My project was only the backyard but half way through (after seeing their work), I ended up doing my Garage sidings- Stucco and my Front yard with them as well. One thing I liked about the dad; I discussed another in-house project with them and he recommended me NOT to do it because it would bring down the value of the house; greatly appreciated that. I would definitely recommend them for any construction projects."

Kitchen - Remodel, Painting & Plastering, Major Home Repairs (General Contractor) , and 2 more
"Ed worked with us from beginning to end. We had an idea, and he helped us flesh it out and make it come true. He's helpful and supportive, and very good at what he does. He rolled with changes that we asked for, and we love the kitchen that he helped us create. He was upfront and transparent about pricing, which was also lower than bids we received from other, larger companies. He and his associates followed Covid precautions, and they worked easily within our Co-op's guidelines. Ed and his associates were also very quick; he gave a short timeline, and actually delivered faster than expected. We would recommend Distinct Construction for a job of any size."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
