I have been in the construction industry for 40 years. We do drywall repairs, whole houses, garages. We also do interior painting.

"I hired Top Notch Tile to build a shower base and install tile as part of our new home construction.   They demonstrated professionalism and expertise from the start during the assessment and quote process.  After getting quotes from others, I found Top Notch's quote to be very competitive.  They recommended tiling the shower walls all the way to the ceiling (9 ft walls) and also tiling the shower ceiling, whereas some of the competitiors only wanted to tile the walls up to about 6.5 feet.  When I made the decision to go with Top Notch, we were on a time crunch to get the house finished and move in.  Dennis agreed to work the July 4 holiday weekend, including Saturday.  I really appreciated this.  The workmanship they did for us is excellent.  We are very pleased with the outcome.

"It went very well.  Despite the fact that I live in Tennessee and this company is in Boston, they helped me a great deal.  I can't remember what I actually paid them, but it seemed reasonable for what I got:  unlimited access to the decorator's assistance.   I had already chosen some of the elements needed for my bathroom remodel, but got bogged down over colors/curtains/light fixtures at the end.  I just needed some help in tying everything together.
Their decorator (Amanda Zettel) and I worked mainly through Pinterest;  I made a board of my bathroom, using pictures of what I'd chosen already, and she sent me links to items that she thought I would like in categories that I needed.  We also talked over the phone several times, and emailed, too.  I believe Homemade Design will also help you with vendors and purchasing, though I didn't use that service.  Amanda did send me to some new websites, and I chose my bathroom lights from one of them.  Amanda helped me choose the finish, the shades, and the placement of the fixtures, which I love.  They are unique and charming - thanks, Amanda!
She also sent me several names of paint colors to chose from for the bath.  Because of the variations in computer screen colors, some people might not be comfortable with this, but I wanted to be the one who actually picked the color.  I just felt a little overwhelmed at the huge selection, so Amanda was able to narrow my choices to a range that I could live with.  The color has been up on my wall for over a month now, and I'm very happy with it.
All in all, this was a very good experience, and I will definitely use Jeff and Amanda's help again!"
