"Rough Diamond Construction Company did an excellent job remodeling my family room/basement. Nate's attention to detail and his expertise was well worth every dollar paid. He was always in contact with me as well as advocating for me when I had a water problem in my basement with the company who initially made the repair. Because of the water problem I experienced in the summer, I decided to have the entire room renovated - new floors, walls, ceiling, doors, etc. Nate and his crew were professional and efficient. The end result is that the room is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend Nate and his team to anyone - you won't be sorry."

"John was a fantastic contractor. He was punctual, responsive and adaptive. His work was accurate and high quality. John made sure to always clean up after he was done. For our job, his bid was extremely reasonable and lower than other contractors. The best part was that he completed our projector UNDER the original quoted price. We will definitely be using John for any major construction and renovation needs and will highly recommend him to family and friends."

"Workers were very professional and respectful. Project results look good. Some communication issues about timing of project completion; somewhat problematic because we had to kennel dogs. We talked through this with the owners to our satisfaction. One worker came on a Sunday afternoon so we could pick up the dogs on schedule."

"I could not be happier with the renovation on my new house. The kitchen and bath were totally renovated, a brand new laundry room was created, new flooring throughout, new staircase, some walls were removed, and other walls were added. Bill Hanik and Joe Novella were wonderful to work with. The renovation was expensive, but there were no nasty surprises as I have experienced with other contractors. I have already begun talking to them about the second floor and exterior renovations."

"I want to praise Bob Wiggins of Lay it Down Tile and Home Improvement for the work he did in my home, which was done timely and with precision.  His cost, after comparing it to others, was the best.  I completely trusted and felt comfortable with him being in my home when I was not present.  I would recommend Bob to anyone. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Johnstown, PA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
