"I chose to have Jordan Hartman, Elite Exteriors, to install gutter shields because of his in depth evaluation of my existing gutter system which had been problematic for years with no success in solving the problems by other gutter companies. Jordan was willing to remove and reinstall my existing gutters at the right angle so rain water would flow through the gutters correctly before adding his gutter shields to prevent falling leaves from being trapped and clog the gutters. For years leaves were being washed over the existing covers and then become trapped in the gutters leading to blockages causing rain water to flow over the edges of the gutters. Jordan did not leave the job until he used our water hoses to determine the flow of water into his gutter shields was as it should be and would not trap any leaves in the gutters. "I have tried several different types of gutter guards on my 5 homes over 40 years. These are by far the best. They keep out the big leaves and the needles and the seeds. And they do not just pile up on top, eventually growing little trees. They wash off. Trees drop branches and pine cones but they have not damaged the gutter guards. Other guards do okay with big leaves, but needles and seeds get through. Ice and pine cones invert them or branches impale and dislodge them. If you are determined to keep your gutters clear and have mature trees above them you will end up with this system eventually. Cheaper and easier to do it the first time."
