They were able to diagnose and fix our plumbing issue, including completely replacing all the cabinets that had been damaged beyond repair. Job was done in a timely manner - especially given the extent of the water damage. Chester and his team were the only contractors who agreed to take on the repairs, after we had several contractors/companies say the job was too big for them. 10/10 would hire again (though hopefully we won't need to!)"

"Jack took detailed notes during home quote visit and provided us an initial estimate over the phone. His proposal was comparable to other bids we got. We decided to move forward and he sent us a written estimate via email. The first estimate was slightly over original amount due to known possibility with electrical and additional work we wanted. They started the project and it took about 6 weeks to complete. There were some bumps in the beginning with days/time they were working but we were able to sort that out and all was good. Ralph was the main guy that did most of the work. He did a nice job and made sure to clean up after the end of each day. Basement turned out great and We are very happy with it."

We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! "I had used Old World Carpentry in the past for a major repair/painting job on the outside trim of our house. Therefore I knew James was the right choice to remove/reinstall an outside railing on our roof. James arrived promptly on short notice to remove the railing. After roofing and stucco repairs were made he again returned to fabricate and reinstall the railing which now looks as good as new. James also fabricated a kickplate for our new trash compactor which matches the existing woodwork in our kitchen. I would definitely use James again for any carpentry job. <br />"
