"We hired Ronnie at Root Homes to do a complete remodel. This include demolition of walls, removal of archways, flooring, painting, cabinetry, casing, baseboards, shiplap (you get the idea). I am a difficult client-to say-the least and the fact that I am giving him a five star rating and a glowing review is something. He helped us develop and design a plan. This part was a bit intimidating for us but he made it easy. He is a unique builder who has an eye for design and the attention to detail to execute. Most contractors, in my experience, are skilled at executing on plans designed by others. Ronnie can do both design and execution. We joked with him that he laid out his tools like a surgeon. Ronnie provided us with a detailed project plan prior from the very beginning. He itemized everything and gave a price for each line item. Most importantly, there were absolutely no surprises in terms of cost. He communicated with us every step of the way about timelines and budgets. The quality of the work in all phases was excellent. If we had concerns, he addressed them quickly and professionally. He always met or exceeded our expectations. His subcontractors are excellent and Ronnie was always there to oversee their work. After completion, he went over the final bill and there was absolutely no surprises. He wasn't the cheapest (or most expensive), but the value (price + quality) was completely worth it. Finally, and this might sound trivial, but he was in our home almost every day for 3 months. He was clear about when he would be there and worked around our schedule (we both work from home). He was easy to have around. I could not recommend Ronnie and Root Homes more highly--if there were six stars--he would have earned that. Hire him if you have a project you will not be disappointed."

"This company did a 900 square foot addition and remodeled our kitchen. The addition was behind schedule close to 90 days, the way the house was built has cause a moisture problem that has never been addressed, part of the issue is faulty windows were installed and neither RPM or the installer will respond or address the issue. HVAC point to the window guy, the window guy blames the HVAC guy and RPM shrugs with no solutions. As a result we have had to order new windows and deal with peeling paint in the bathroom of the addition. While this sounds bad, I dare say it is worse, the roof leaks, the finish work on the kitchen cabinets in the addition has 1/8 and 1/4 gaps that were never properly finished. The kitchen remodel has been â finishedâ for over a year and the cut list and warranty work is still not complete. The baseboard joints are awful and the paint looks like a 12 year old did it. The back splash has dark blotches in the grout and when they installed the $3000 double oven they scratched it in several places and didnâ t mention anything (I waited 9 months for delivery so we just have to live with it). Jeremy and Don are not bad people, they just do not have the ability to close out a project. The 12 month warranty is nothing more than an empty promise. I really wanted to give them a positive review, but now I feel I have to warn anyone that will listen. Over the last 2 years we have paid this company over $200,000 and the quality of work, follow through, and empty promises have been too much. Donâ t waste your time or money, they will promise you the world and cash your check, thatâ s all that I can assure you will happen."

"DO NOT HIRE this business to do any work for you! Tim was hired on 2/5/26 to do a basement remodel for us in our home. He gave a timeline of 6 weeks to finish. He required 70% down towards the $33,500.00 bid before he would start work. Standard is 50%, and when we questioned that he had all the answers, said he isn't a bank and doesn't have thousands of dollars in his account to cover costs of labor and materials due to being a new business. He sold himself on being licensed and insured, a great communicator, dependable, a member of the National guard, and that he hires the best subcontractors. Told us 2 weeks in by email, after going missing, that he was closing his business and going bankrupt. Gave us an attorney?s number to call and the attorney knew nothing about any of this. Timothy Banister is a fraud and thief. This only gives me 999 letters to write but have soooo much more. DO NOT HIRE THIS CROOK. You?ve been warned. His 5 star reviews were written the same day and are fakes."
