"The job went Extremely Well! Work Performed June 12, 2019 This was my first time looking for a truly real, qualified plumber, because I could no longer trust the work of pseudo plumbers. I had a busted indoor basement pipeline that connected to an outdoor spigot, that caused quite a bit of water damage in my basement, so I needed to find the best plumber, at a reasonable price, and a company that would apply the diagnostic charge to the total charge of the work done. I spent several hours researching plumbing companies, reviewed a great deal of customers’ reviews on each company, and I called a few that had the best reviews. One of my initial calls was to Archer Plumbing Company. The phone was answered promptly by Allan, a very pleasant man (a good sign). I explained what was going on, he asked a few questions, and was able to quote a ballpark figure of what it might cost. I told him I had to make a few more calls before I could decide on a company, but so far, they seemed to be the best, and met all my requirements. In the end, Archer Plumbing was the number one choice by far. I called Allan back and scheduled an appointment. The next day I called and changed the scheduled date to an earlier date, and Allan was very flexible and accommodating. Allan called on June 12, the scheduled date, to let me know that the plumbers were on their way. Chuck and Matthew arrived promptly. I was happy that they had shoe covers (thumbs up), so I didn’t have to offer mine. Chuck was very knowledgeable, proficient and efficient. Both were very polite and pleasant. In addition to replacing the busted pipeline and spigot, they replaced the toilet fill valve and seal in two toilet tanks, and Chuck gave me some general, helpful maintenance tips, as well as addressed a few of my concerns with future plumbing projects. I was very pleased that the cost was within the ballpark figure that Allan had quoted for the busted pipe repair. Needless to say, I highly recommend Archer Plumbing. First impression and experience are lasting! I admire their honesty and integrity. I have already recommended Archer Plumbing to my friends and family. "Whoever Nick sends to work at our house has always figured out what needed doing (and not more) and been able to get it done quickly, surely and cleanly. In this case we had just at our water main changed which cause sediment to clog fixtures and kill water pressure. Chris gave us the good news that a replacement fixture and part was all that stood between us and square one----and he fit us in the next day so that we could go out and buy the kitchen faucet we needed."

"My daughter just purchased a 10 year old home. The first time they tried to use the outside spigot, the water shot inside the basement instead of outside. Since they had a home owner's warranty, they scheduled repair with the recommended service provider, who was Joe Lay and sons. As a long time Angie's List user, I was a little concerned after reading mixed reviews about this provider. However, we had nothing but a positive experience. The appointment was scheduled within 24 hours. The technician stated it was a pretty straightforward issue and a fairly simple fix given the basement is not finished. The repair was completed within 30 minutes. He took the time to show us the broken pipe and instruct my daughter on how to prevent this from happening in the future. (Previous owners probably didn't remove hoses in winter). We then found out that the homeowner's warranty doesn't cover this type of issue (figures), even though it was through no fault of the new homeowner. If a claim is covered under the warranty, the homeowner is responsible for $100 deductible. The usual cost for this type of repair was $ 175 for the labor and $50 for the copper replacement pipe. Since the job had been fairly easy and not covered under the policy, they gave us a discount and charged $150 which was the cost of usual deductible plus the parts needed for repair. We were very thankful for the price break. The technician seemed knowledgeable and was very courteous. I would not hesitate to work with this company in the future.

"Eric just completed finishing my basement. He completed all the carpentry, electrical and plumbing work himself. He did an amazing job. In it he built a playroom (which can be later be used as a bedroom), half bath and a huge living area with a custom fireplace which is gorgeous. During the process Eric consulted with me each step of the way and gave me options to consider. He gave me his expert opinion to assist in making decisions. He was always considering methods to save money but not at the detriment of quality. Eric is also very particular in his work. For example he relocated a light switch after installation deciding I would not be happy. Of course in moving it he had to patch and repaint creating more work for himself but cared more about the best outcome. The basement exceeded my expectations."

"Extremely well! I used Jason Griggs and his small but scrappy crew to repaint the interior of a home I sold just prior to purchasing this new home. They did a tremendous job for me then, at a reasonable price, so I enlisted them for this larger, more difficult job. There was wallpaper to be removed and painted over, numerous drywall repairs, caulking, and generally a lot of prep work before the actual painting could begin. They also had to work in two different phases -- prep and paint the rooms that were not being remodeled, and wait for a couple months while other rooms were being remodeled, then come back and prep and paint those rooms. All in all, this spanned a period from October to January. They did their usual outstanding job! I am so happy I was able to secure their services again. Jason is a former engineer who pays keen attention to detail. He really takes pride in doing a high quality, thorough job and will do whatever it takes to walk away with a satisfied customer. He has a great customer service attitude and often agrees when you point a blemish out, saying they will quickly take care of it. He and his crews are very trustworthy. They earned my trust on my first job at the old house -- I let them come and go as they needed, while I was away at work. Same in this case; I allowed them full rein of the house, and did not do anything special to put things away. They really are that trustworthy! It's nice when you feel that trust with a service provider. They do quality work, aren't happy unless you're happy, will do whatever it takes to make you happy, treats your home and belongings with respect, and makes you feel like you're the customer and you come first! I cannot recommend them enough. If I were you and need some painting done, I'd call The Griggs Company. I know I will contact them for all my painting needs in the future."
