"The original house plumbing design included use of PEX supply lines in place of the usual copper pipes.  Since the builder was already using PEX lines, we requested that they modify the original plumbing plans to include a PEX distribution manifold with individual supply lines to the end fixtures.  We also added a whole-house charcoal filter, an upgraded water softener, and a soft-water hose bib in the garage (for washing the cars in the driveway).  The addition of the manifold required Mandalay and RED to do some extensive modifications to the original rough-in plumbing, as the individual fixture supply lines had to be laid before the concrete slab was poured.  The builder and RED modified the original house plumbing system design, and a 36-outlet PEX manifold was installed in the wall adjacent to the  entrance door between the garage and the house.  A second 6-outlet manifold was installed to supply the non-filtered/softened water to the two outside hose bibs.  The work was done as contracted and so far everything is working as advertised.  We had one small leak develop at the input for the water softener in the garage; I called RED and a technician came out that same afternoon and re-soldered the connection.  There have been no more issues. <br /> I didn't include pricing information because all costs were rolled into the initial contract for the house, so the prices may or may not be representative of what RED would charge for independent work at your house.  As near as I could tell from online searches, the prices for the various work items were in line with other companies. <br /> We plan on adding a point-of-use electric water heater under the kitchen sink to supply hot water to the sink and dishwasher, along with a reverse osmosis system for the sink and refrigerator ice-maker.  I plan to call RED to perform that work when we get around to it. <br />"
