"I interviewed 3 deck companies before hiring RJ Construction. Robert, the owner, was easy to work with. The estimate was very reasonable and thorough for removing the old deck, updating the sub structure, and building a new trex deck. The work was done shortly after signing the contract. His crew was amazing; very skilled and careful. The work was done within the contracted time, but not always on consecutive days. "Sean the owner was much more than just someone there to rip up the old decking and lay down new planks.  He thoroughly explored the deck framing and recommended improvements so the deck would remain structurally sound for another 20 years.  Once he gave us a price, that was pretty much it; he found he needed to do some work he hadn't anticipated he just charged minimal amounts for additional materials. The labor was just absorbed into the original price.  His team's workmanship was very good.  Long story short, I've already recommended Atlas to my neighbor."

In particular, their interior painting and bathroom renovation work were superb.  Other components of the renovation were good as well.

The owner, Frank, was cordial and professional.  As an example, he was well versed in working with the stairway and made good suggestions, while respecting our thoughts.  He even worked with a new subcontractor for the stairway railing and glass that seemed to have the better proposal than the one he usually uses.

The AMS crew members who worked on the basement, stairway, painting and bathroom were courteous and responsive to changes and suggestions.  They also "cleaned up" their work area each day.  They seemed to be a happy bunch, and at times we could hear one of them singing (pretty well :-) while working in the basement.

I suppose the best measure of a renovation company would be whether we would request their services again.  The answer would be a resounding "Yes"!"
