"I had my bath tub faucet streaming hot water and Cody came and looked at it the pipes. Told me he will fix the pipes and put in new shower and faucet. Cody did an awesome job on everything. If I ever have a problem again, I would call."

"We have 3 year old Fujitsu Mini Split AC units that have leaked coolant from day one. Two other Fujitsu could not find the problem but UGI took the time to try a few tests and found the issue."

"On time, pleasant, professional. Referred to me originally through my home warranty. I did not know the name of the part that needed to be replaced but the service provider seemed confident of what was needed. I had done some preliminary shopping to see if I could find a similar part but hadn't been successful identifying it. Due to the high cost of the replacement part he said the service would cost me $575.  I reluctantly agreed to this because I needed to do my laundry. My fault for not doing more research. When I looked up the part after he left I found the same or similar part for only $250. The box clearly indicated "easy to install" and  from the look of it as I watched during the replacement it was work I could have easily done myself. He was working on the actual replacement for less than 30 minutes and it appeared about as complex as some of the other plumbing repairs I've already done myself in my home. Very speedy service but to me over $10 per minute is outrageous. In retrospect a conversation about what would be involved in this type of repair, such as time, level of difficulty, actual part cost, etc. would have been helpful. The person taking my phone call was not the same person who completed the service.  Until I looked up the cost of the part I was very interested in this provider for other major bathroom renovation work that needs to be completed. I may still seek a quote since it was professionally and timely completed however I will certainly be seeking other comparative quotes as well due to the high cost per hour for service.

FAQs for gas piping projects in Kunkletown, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
