"Calling Gary Hays was one of the smartest decisions I have ever made.  I was looking at losing over 400 GBs of photos/videos when I tried updating, what I thought was a very old computer.   I had done all the possible ides from online help searches, and had  taken to the mac store in Washington Square, helping only partially.  At the Genius Bar, they helped my find my photos from an earlier time machine backup  but my videos in iPhoto kept getting an error message.   I was not too excited about the prospect of losing all those family videos.  Gary came and said the doubted that my computer was at fault, and that the incredible wait times, the spinning rainbow circle taking minutes for programs to open was the result of not staying current with the updates over time.  He helped me completely prepare the computer step by step, making it ready to use OS X Yosemite.  After following each one of his recommendations, I was able to open the new Photo app and EVERYTHING was there, all videos, and all photo files I thought had been lost. The other huge part of Gary's visit was the rebuilding of our iTunes library.  Four or 5 years back, during Apple's Mobileme days,  a glitch in their software had multiplied a playlist over 40,000 times, making iTunes unbearably slow and cumbersome and almost impossible to use on my iMac.  He rebuilt my musiclibrary and got everything running smoothly and normally.  This too came as a great relief as we had many important recordings downloaded over time.  He easy to work with and very professional, giving me great confidence and saving us from buying something we didn't need to purchase yet.   This mac, has never worked quicker and better.  He also helped with some follow-up questions, and he really wanted me to feel satisfied.  I completely and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who need help with their desk top computer.  The in home visit was beyond worth the cost. <br />"

"Mark is not only knowledgeable, but very easy to talk to. I am not very knowledgeable <br />on the computer. He had a great deal of patience with me. He got rid of a lot of useless information, and helped me access what I needed. He let me know the charges after I has used my initial time and explained all the charges up front. He told me if I had any issues or did not understand something to call him back. I did have somethings I did not understand and after calling him back and talking them through I decided the best thing to do is buy a new computer as mine is extremely out of date and does not suit my needs. Mark does not sell computers, but took the time to tell me based on my usage and needs, what I should buy. He did all this at no charge and even told me that I could call him if I had questions when purchasing the machine. I'm sure I will definitely call if I need help in the future and can't say enough about him."

While waiting for delivery, they gave me back the laptop with a loaner screen to use, which was helpful. The price was reasonable (and there were no surprises), and communication was very good.
