"Five Star Bath Solutions (FSBS) replaced our non-functioning basement bathroom whirlpool tub with a new whirlpool tub + shower wall replacement. FSBS was very easy to work with, from the initial in-home meeting to the completion of the installation. We were kept up-to-date on start date and other pertinent details and pre-install queries were answered promptly. The replacement/instillation itself was completed efficiently, the crew arrived when promised, the crew was very respectful of our property + home and we received a detailed walk-through of the completed project. "Hal's work is top-notch but I grew increasingly frustrated with the timing and inconsistency of his work habits. His was one of several estimates I received and basically he said he would beat any estimate I received. The difference is that everyone else was going to use cedar and he only works with pressure-treated Southern yellow pine, which is less than half the cost of cedar. I was unsure of the durability and longevity of that product so I did extensive research online. Still unsure, I drive around the Twin Cities to see other jobs Hal did that gave stood the test of time and I decided to move forward. Clearly, the way he builds his fences require considerably more manual labor than those built with cedar posts and pickets so essentially instead of paying for the higher cost of cedar, you pay for increased labor costs. Unfortunately, Hal isn't as going as predicting when he will get jobs complete as he is completing them well. He was over a month late in getting started and I repeatedly had to call him to inquire about the delay. It was quite frustrating but since I didn't absolutely need the fence done by a certain date, I decided to practice patience. Once he finally started, most days he and his helper only worked 4 hours so the project dragged on far longer than I thought it would. Admittedly, there were a couple of weather-related days but other times when it was a perfect day, they wouldn't show up and I would give no idea when they were coming again. After I told him I really needed to have him be more communicative, he was and within a short time after that conversation, he completed the fence. The fence is beautiful and appears very sturdy. We'll see how it withstands time and weather but for now I am very happy with it. Hal does beautiful work but if you are on a strict timeline I would not recommend working with him. If you are flexible and don't mind putting more effort into communication, he is a great person to work with.

"The salesmen slow down and no follow up. We had to keep calling to get the work ordered and into the company's shop. Once there, the crew was fast, polite and very knowledgeable."

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"Galen is a professional and really cares about the quality of the work he does. I've used him in the past for carpentry/contracting projects and have always been happy with his work. This time, I had him paint my 2 level deck, do some siding on the 3 season porch, paint my garage door and haul away a lot of junk from my garage. He charged a comparable amount to other estimates I got, but did some extras for free as well. He showed up on time, did an excellent job for the price quoted, cleaned up after himself and emailed me photos of the completed work. I was very happy with the quality of what he did, the amount of time it took, and the whole process. I highly recommend him!

They reconstructed a soffit and several bathroom and bedroom walls to enhance the appearance. I asked for non textured ceilings and they are flawless.
