Jay met with us to get an idea of what we were looking for and approximate cost to install. He made recommendations as to color and type of paver. Next, he showed us examples of the bricks and explained the process. Jay then worked with our HOA to receive approval for the install. Once the crew came out, they worked nonstop! Each paver was placed with care. They spent a lot of time making sure it was level and that any water would drain correctly. The results are stunning and I could not be happier. "Today was Roger’s second - and far from last! - visit to my house. Both times his team has done a great job of weeding, leaving my yard looking just how I wanted it. This time, I had them pull out some old logs that I was using as a mini yard divider and replaced them with two layers of 4” tall bricks. They added some pavers on the inside for my large pots, with another row of bricks on the inside for a professional finish. It may not sound like much work, but it is a large yard in 100+ degree sunshine. We have already chatted about the next project he will be doing here."

"Tried to reach my usual guy and a few others with no luck. I was lucky and just happened to reach Mike on the phone. While his crews were busy in other parts of the city, Mike personally stopped by within 20 minutes of the call and located the buried water supply value to the whole sprinkler system (that no one knew anything about!) and shut it off, so we could get turn the house supply water back on and take our showers. He is sending his crew within the next 24 hours to replace the leaking PVC pipe supplying the sprinkler system. I was extremely impressed by Mike's customer orientation and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to get me up and running! "I had problems in our back yard with water pooling during heavy rainfall and was concerned about possible flooding of our house and garage.  We have a pool and concrete patio, so I knew this was not going to be an easy fix.

Rob came out and spent about 2 hours looking over our situation and talking about options.  After he left, he came up with a single plan with components so we could proceed one step at a time, then wait and evaluate the success of that step or do a number of steps at once. 

Since we we were very concerned about the possibility of flooding, we elected to proceed with regrading, adding an exterior drainage line from the garage to the street, replacing an existing line from the house to the street, adding catch basins and re-grading areas around the house and garage.

The work was done at the days and times arranged; the crew was very considerate and professional and the work was beautiful.  

Most importantly, we have had several very heavy rainfalls and the solutions we had implemented by Works By Rob are performing as well as we had hoped.   We had no accumulation of water and no worries!"

"Below are the details of our experience with Drain Xperts. Overall, I would highly recommend this company for drainage work. We recently moved into a home that had some backyard flooding issues. The front yard is heavily sloped to the street but the backyard is slightly lower which caused pooling even on a light rain. A friend of mine had recently received quotes from a few companies that specialize in drainage systems and chose Drain Xperts. I was able to see the project in various stages and was impressed with the quality of work for the price. My friend's neighbor also chose Drain Xperts after and the job was done well. I did not give a rating for the price because I did not seek out other bids after my friend's research in a similar job. Drain Xperts was by far the best price. Jimmy came to give a quote on a day that there was standing water in the yard so he was able to see the location of the problem areas. Jimmy was obviously very experienced in this work and we talked about some other projects his company had worked on. He proposed a system that eventually included about 175 feet of 4inch PVC starting on one point of the backyard, wrapped around the deck to the back of the yard, then to the other side of the yard and then went straight down to the street along a brand new plumbing drain pipe that was installed weeks before. Along the path of the pipe included drain boxes throughout to collect the water. They also installed three drain pipe stems next to the house so that future gutters would be able to flow directly into the new drain system. The crew used extra dirt from digging to grade areas of the yard so that water would flow away from the house and toward the drain boxes. Jimmy's crew worked fast and did a great job. The work was permitted through the City of Houston. Jimmy and his crew were professional and responsive during the entire process and gave no hassle when we asked for minor modifications to the project. We have already seen positive results from the system and don't cringe at the thought of rain coming. Once we add the gutters and do additional grading in certain parts of the yard, the system will be even better. As I mentioned at the beginning, I would highly recommend Jimmy and Drain Xperts for your drainage project."
