"-They performed several services: power washed my roof, deck and entire home; repaired deck railings installed every poorly by another person; then carefully prepared and stained the deck and ramp. -Jesse was prompt in contacting me to arrange a visit to evaluate my needs and recommended some improvements. The itemized estimate was sent within 24 hours. -The entire crew was courteous and professional. They worked efficiently to complete the tasks. -I'm very pleased with the results of the power washing, my roof looks new again. The handrails were replaced (correctly) on my deck and ramp. The stain looks great. -I would definitely use them again. A great team!"

"Rick and Josh did an incredible job modernizing our North Asheville home. The quality of the work was excellent and they were communicative and transparent. They added an entirely new deck to the lower level of our home and the craftsmanship was top notch. Rick is a true professional and I would absolutely work with him again."

"We hired Handy Home Helpers to remodel both our, upstairs and downstairs, bathrooms. We could not be more pleased with the job they did for us. They gutted the bathrooms down to the studs, reconfigured the layout and rebuilt them back in a timely matter. John and Bree did all the work themselves. Demo, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting and tile work all done by just the two of them. It was amazing to watch them work. The speed, quality and detail of their work was superb. They were great at keeping us up to date on the progress of the jobs. They also kept the power and water disruptions down to a minimum, always giving us plenty of notice when they were going to shut them off. They took time to answer all our questions. We were also very pleased with the price they gave us on the jobs. We believe their caring and commitment to doing the best job possible made this a great experience for us. We plan to use Handy Home Helpers for all future projects on our home. We now have the beautiful bathrooms we have always dreamed of, thanks to Handy Home Helpers."

"Calvin knows what he is doing, gives a fair, accurate estimate and delivers what he promises. He is uniquely willing to be flexible, work with the owner and recommend the best way to solve an issue. We have worked together on more than four projects in the last 3 years. He has become a valuable resource as we go about renovating our house."

"Paco left a message the day before the appointment asking if they could come at lunch time or early afternoon - but at 3:30pm the day of the appt. I had to call them - still had not heard from anyone and had been sitting there waiting for hours.  Finally his crew (2 guys) showed up.  When I asked how much 300 sq ft would cover - wondering if the bathroom floor could be done also - they started talking in spanish but never answered me.  Asked about the caulking along the tub and they said they didn't have any with them because they were not made aware that I'd requested it.  Even though I have copies of emails sent asking about it and the pictures of it that Paco asked me to send.  So they then tried to use a bag of old grout I had in my shed to do the repair work around the tub.  The very next day it was chipping and cracking off even though I waited the full 24 hours before using the shower like they instructed me to.  Now it looks worse than ever.  I contacted Paco via his email on Angie's List telling him what was happening and asking if they could please come back and use caulking to ensure it is sealed up.  I was even willing to pay to have it done to be sure it was sealed.  He has never respond.  He got his money and obviously could care less.  And I found it disrespectful that his two workers had conversations in spanish every time I asked questions  but several times ignored what I was saying.  What was all that about?  The back of the shower where they cleaned the grout looks god but around the faucet it is still discolored - so all in all a really bad investment and poor service! <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Lake Lure, NC

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
