"Called and spoke with the proprietor who made it abundantly clear they did not really want to help solve our problem (needing wallpaper hung in new construction). After making disparaging the wallpaper brand I had chosen (Schumacher) she complained about the site location (Vancouver), the timeframe (1.5 month out) and the proposed design. Then proceeded to quote a hefty price to seal the deal. Additionally, it was quite frustrating communicating the design and dimensions as they did not have access to email or text and were not able to understand the design without many back and forths. Now, I know service providers are under no obligation to take all jobs offered, but there is really a much more polite and efficient way of handling this dilemma: just say "sorry, I am too busy". This saves us both time and face."
