"Keith was exceptionally helpful and professional in planning the replacement of our deck. He gave excellent advice, had great ideas, listened to what we wanted, and always considered cost and quality. He kept us informed throughout the project with daily texts and phone calls. He worked very neatly and efficiently, and was always on time. His complete trustworthiness made us comfortable to give him access to the property while we were away on several days during the job. His attention to detail made the finished product outstanding. His language and behavior was of the highest quality, as was his work. There was a daily text message about material ordering and delivery status, arrival time, and anything we needed to discuss. "I contacted Home Facelifters to remove a small concrete barrier from my garage, to repair the porch at the end of my house that was developing cracks and holes around the foundation, and to perform a couple of handyman tasks (replace a doorknob and replace smoke detectors). Joe replied to my inquiry and came out to give me an estimate within a couple of days of when I contacted him. When he and his crew started working on the porch repair they found that the problems were much more extensive than originally anticipated. The porch was actually pulling away from the house, and as the crew started to work on the porch they found a couple of large cracks running the length of the foundation under the floor of the porch, making it unsafe. It was clear to all of us that the porch would have to be replaced. Joe quickly came up with some estimates and found a solution to retain the roof over one end of the porch. He proposed replacing the porch with a new deck. The crew supported the roof on the side of the porch and removed the underlying porch and the concrete slabs. They dug holes for new piers and footing and poured concrete. It was also discovered there was some old (not active) termite damage on the lower side of the house where the new deck would be attached (this was damage that was treated when I bought the house 16 years ago so it was no longer active but the bottom portion of part of that side of the house had to be repaired and reshingled). During the entire process Joe was great about communicating the latest set-back and keeping me up to date on additional expenses. In the end the crew built a beautiful new deck with railings up to code. The job was much more complicated than what I originally anticipated and ended up being more expensive but was necessary. I may have been able to get the work done elsewhere for slightly less money but I do not know that I would have received the same quality craftsmanship. Joe and his assistant were great to work with throughout the process. They communicated clearly about when they were going to show up and about the progress of the work. They worked long days, often after dark, in freezing cold weather but finished most of the work as quickly as possible. There are still a couple of things left to be done (painting and building stairs to the deck) but those things have to wait until warmer weather. This is the second time I have used Home Facelifters for a major project at my home, and I highly recommend them."

"Jason Ferrandino was introduced to me by my pool contractor, Shoreline Pools. The project entailed gut renovating the entire 4 acre yard which involved site work, excavation, irrigation, masonry work and landscaping. We planted over 200 16-18 ft green giants, laid down 2 acres of sod and installed decorative plants around kitchen and pool hardscape. The outcome was amazing and I couldn't be happier. "What can we say about Vanessa Flynn, owner of F & N Contractors other then she is a Godsend and we are so very thankful she took on our enormous job. We would absolutely hire F & N Contractors again and continue to refer them to family and friends! From day 1, we knew Vanessa was the real deal. After being burned by contractors previously, no pun intended, we were weary to have to go through this process but Vanessa's honest, matter of fact attitude set our minds at ease. At the time, we were living in a temporary trailer, feeling extremely helpless and overwhelmed. Vanessa was able to put our minds at ease very quickly and was also able to point out potential road blocks before they became a problem. Not only was Vanessa incredible to work with, her crew was awesome too, the neighbors dubbed them "the singing crew" because they were always happily singing while working. Navigating the endless, confusing mounds of insurance paperwork, Vanessa has been there every step of the way to decipher, guide and give pep talks to us in a way only she could. She not only has been a phenomenal contractor but a sense of stability in a very unknown time. Because of Vanessa and her crew working so hard for our family, we are back home far sooner then we should be. And if that wasn't enough, she has gone above and beyond to help us pinch every penny, get great materials at a huge savings and stay on budget which with a project this large is to be commended. Our house before was old and loved but quirky with plenty of work to be done, then the fire happened and we were homeless and devastated. Now, we are truly home and not only is it lovely but it is done right! We feel like we were on a tv show where the good contractor comes in and makes everything right. F & N Contractors handled everything from floor joists, to stud walls, drywall, plaster, re-wiring the whole house, plumbing, painting, roofing, kitchens, hardwood flooring, porcelain tile, mosaic tile, bathrooms, even a new chimney. It all looks incredible and is done right the first time!
