"Trent was kind, professional, HONEST and respectful. I reached out and he messaged within the hour. After brief conversation on the phone he was able to fit me in for a free water testing and system inspection that same day. I mentioned a 3 stage water system upgrade and after the water test we found our water system was working well. He provided suggestions as alternative approaches to itchy skin we experienced. After we did our own research we agreed to have him install a UVC light with an additional filter for good measure. We called and he inspected on Tuesday and he was there with the install on Sunday that same week! Amazing. Talked us through the tests and results and provided us with informational pamphlets as well as transparency about his product vendor. Once the job was complete he tested the system and taught us about it and maintenance procedures. He was kind & patient. The pipe work install was well done and beautiful. He minded the space and existing plumbing."

"The install could not have gone better. The technician was at my home at exactly the time given. My water heater is in a carpeted hall way and the technician was careful and considerate to ensure that carpet was not damaged. The installation took about 2 hours and when done, I would never have known the technician was in the home except that I now had hot water."

"Two professional installers. Done in one day.  If only one person had been there for the install it would have been a 2.5 day job. With two people the job was completed in one day. I bought their recommended Amana furnace/AC. They were personable and interacted well when I had questions. If one person had been there it would have been a 2.5 day job. The unit worked the first time they turned it on and is a significant improvement. At the end of the job they thoroughly cleaned the area. And no up front money which indicated a well run business.
I had been told about other people who installed furnaces but I am confident that they were horror stories waiting to happen. This job required experienced workers. I may have paid more, but I may have ended up with a low quality (cheaper) unit as well as delays while the installer dealt with personal issues or disappeared.
This is the third time I have used Giant and each instance was totally satisfactory.

"Let me say that I purchased the deal of 4 hours for $179. Galen went and purchased the light fixtures and wood for the door and we had an additional 2 hours so that's why the total was $587. Galen arrived with his crew and they went to work. I am so pleased with everything they did. I am thrilled to have found Keenan Handyman Services and will definitely call them again. "Lloyd Calhoun works 8 days a week at the hours that work for you. He takes pride in his craft, delivering a high level of competence and excellent customer service at very competitive rates. I called him once, I’ll call him again, and I highly recommend him to you. The water heater died around 4 pm on a freezing January afternoon. Of course, I turned to Angie’s List where I found Calhoun Plumbing & Heating, which is in my zip code. Upon calling the number listed, I got voice mail, left a message, and Lloyd Calhoun returned the call in less than 30 minutes. It was already late in the business day and, if Lloyd had offered me a next day appointment, I would have been thrilled. But Lloyd came over that evening, after finishing his scheduled clients, to give me a FREE estimate. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction and I had a lot of them. The old water heater was paid for by the previous owner’s appliance insurance when I purchased the house. Being a naïve, first-time home owner, I hadn’t a clue what to look for in a water heater and was at the mercy of the plumbing company contracted by the previous owner’s policy. The company unnecessarily installed a power-vent water heater (which costs roughly $200-$300 more per unit than a direct vent model) in spite of the fact that the original water heater was located adjacent to a chimney, and there already existed a hole in the chimney to accommodate the vent pipe. Lloyd actually listened to me (!), confirmed my suspicions that the more expensive, power-vent model was NOT necessary, and gave me good information on features and pricing for direct vent models. Right there, Lloyd saved me $300. I’d been researching water heaters for months, had at least 3 plumbers out to the house for an estimate, and Lloyd Calhoun was the only plumber who was honest enough to sell me the less expensive, direct-vent water heater. The next evening Lloyd was back with a nice Rheem unit that fit the specs. Installation went off without a hitch. They carried the old unit out to the curb. (It was gone before the garbage truck made rounds the next morning.) The basement work area was swept and tidy when they left. What more can you ask for?"
