"I had the pleasure of working with David to remodel my build up garage back to a garage. His hard work, attention to detail, and professionalism was refreshing to see in a contractor is South Florida and the pricing was more than fair. I have dealt with a lot of contractors in the past to mixed reviews but I am sure that I will we working with David and JGB in the future."

"Builders were fast, clean and knowledgeable. Built four ramps for my recently handicapped daughter. Contractor knew proper specs for safety and completed the job more quickly than expected. Would highly recommend for any project. Was awaiting quote from another contractor that submitted a higher bid for the job, and bid arrived after ramps were completed."

"The work was performed over a protracted period of about six months at my request, due to the fact that I'm a part time resident of South Florida. Overall, I would give the company a rating of 4.9 out of a 5 point rating system, that due to the accidental breaking of the paddle to my living room ceiling fan. Kobi's team excels in their workmanship, especially the tile setter. I have received many compliments in that regard, and in all actuality, I'm not able to find one flaw in his work. He's that good! The men moved all of the furniture to the rear enclosed patio, and reinstalled the pieces back into their rooms without any damage or incident. Kobi was available to hear my questions at any time, and was on site often, guiding his men. I relied on the team of Kobi & Jenny to assist me in identifying how to design the remodel. They are excellent at picking the correct color schemes, along with the kitchen and bathroom design. I would have been overwhelmed and actually lost, if not for their excellent guidance. I need to acknowledge one special employee. Pablo, a very loyal and talented worker. He's a very dedicated worker, and was always open to any of my suggestions. As hectic as a remodel can be, he always displayed a very calm demeanor, and put me at ease many times. I'm very happen with the outcome, and would "in a heartbeat", contract with them in the future."

"It's a shame that I have to write this negative review of Wolfe Construction Group after giving him such a favorable review of the first and much larger contract we had with him.

This contract was smaller which included the scope of work described above.  All work was completed on time except the Cabana door which was a special order and took 8 weeks to come in.  According to the contract, final payment wasn' t to be paiduntil the entire job was complete. However, knowing Rob Wolfe from previous work he had done for us, we trusted him and paid him everything except the $1500 for the door. When the door came in, he installed it himself and knowingly or not knowingly as he says, disconnected our alarm system and rendered it inactive. He never told us about it because he says he didn't realize it, but how could you not notice a wire attached to the door?? Fortunately, we discovered it when the alarm would't engage and called him but he refused to assume resposibility for fixing it. He wanted us to pay the alarm company to reconnect the alarm. When we adamately refused, he said that the wire was still attached to the old door and he came back to reattach it to the new door.

We also asked about the painting of the new door since we assumed that when something is replaced, that would mean putting it back to the original state particularly when in the contract  that the entire bathroom where the door was replaced was paintedby him.  Also, we expected large gaps  to be caulked for the installation to be complete, but according to Rob Wolf that goes with the painting which was not in the contract.  He was paid in full and he said he would let us know about  when he could paint the door for an addtional charge. However, he recently told us the job was complete and he was not going to paint the door. I guess he was too busy and this was too small a job. However, he is being very short-sighted because

next winter we have plans to gut the kitchen and we will not consider Wolfe  Construction for any future remodeling jobs.

FAQs for shelter or outbuilding building service projects in Lauderhill, FL

A bomb shelter is an abode built to withstand disaster. Bomb shelters may refer to a space or bunker that can protect inhabitants through a hypothetical nuclear attack, apocalypse, or any other massive crisis. People usually build bomb shelters underground and stock them to live there a few days to a month at a time. Doomsday bunkers accommodate long-term living rather than just through a short crisis.

Builders construct bomb shelters with reinforced steel, box culvert, concrete, or other durable materials (but many professionals do not recommend shipping containers, as they’re not designed to live underground. If building underground, you’ll first have to excavate land before building the actual structure. You’ll have to implement air and water filtration systems, septic systems, and power supply.

It takes a lot of experience to safely and legally construct a bomb shelter, not to mention make sure it’s fit to live in for extended periods of time. It’s best to talk to a residential structural engineer near you for proper guidance.

The current standard filtration systems require filtering both air and water. For air, you’ll want an NBC filter system, which both domestic and international producers make. NBC stands for Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical, which filters out all three. If you’re only building your shelter for natural disasters, chemical attacks, and biological attacks, you may opt for the less expensive HEPA filter system.

Water filtration requires the same level of care. You’ll likely want to have a large water storage capacity to survive short-term disasters. For long-term living, you’ll want to have a water filtration system.

Rising S bunker prices depend on the size, ranging anywhere from $20,000 to $9 million. Their least expensive model is 96 square feet while their most expensive model has a gym, swimming pool, hot tub, and bowling alley.

  • Mini: $45,500

  • Standard Bomb Shelter: $67,500–$109,500

  • Silver Leaf: $140,000–$182,500

  • Admiral: $180,000–$500,000

  • Xtreme: $450,000–$780,000

  • Xtreme Bunker Complex: $840,000–$1,830,000

  • Luxury Series: $3,800,000–$9,600,000

You almost always need a permit to build a bunker on land with any type of public utilities running through it. You’ll want to check with your local building code enforcement agency to see if this is the case for your area.

Because you’re building a structural component that often requires electricity, water, and sewage services, you’ll need to apply for permits to attach these utilities to your new property. However, off-grid-only units in rural areas may not need all or any of the permitting you’d normally find in more urban settings.

To survive a nuclear blast, you’ll need to have your bunker at least three feet underground. However, it’s usually advisable to put it further underground. To survive a close strike, you’ll want to have the bunker at least 10 feet down and with five-foot thick reinforced concrete. However, knowing exactly how deep to build depends on the size of the blast you’re trying to avoid. Most bunkers don’t need to be more than 5 feet below the ground.
