"I recently called Precision Garage Door Services after a broken chain pulley issue caused by manually opening the garage door during a power outage from a hurricane. I explained the problem clearly to the scheduler before the technician arrived, expecting them to fix the pulley. However, when the tech came out, they conducted an "inspection" and informed me that I needed a full $1,800 rebuild of the entire garage door. My garage door is only 10 years old, and while it might be slightly out of balance, I can still open and close it manually with ease. It certainly doesn't require a full replacement of springs, tracks, wheels, etc. Despite explaining that I only wanted the pulley replaced, they refused to fix the issue and instead charged me $90 just for showing up to give me what felt like nothing more than a sales pitch. Itâ s disappointing that they ignored my request and attempted to upsell me an unnecessary service. What's worse, it's common for the pulley to break if the door isnâ t perfectly aligned after manual use. Given the circumstances of a hurricane, I can't help but feel that theyâ re trying to profit from a natural disaster. I strongly advise against using Precision Garage Door Services if youâ re looking for an honest, straightforward repair."

"This was one of the best experiences we have ever had with projects we have had others to do. When he came to give us an estimate, David was punctual and had so many great ideas. He was very patient as we, mainly I, tried to make up our minds. We decided to have a screened porch added to our house over a brick patio we had just had built. There was nothing there so they built the screened porch from the ground up adding a ceiling and roof. David also added ceiling fans and electrical outlets for us. The work was started the day he told us he would start it AND exactly on time. The men who did the work were excellent as well. I never saw them take a break, rest, or stand around. "Columbia Electric referred Finishing Touch to me. The electrician accidentally slipped on a joist in the attic and put his knee through the ceiling on a Monday. It was not until the following Wednesday Finishing Touch was able to get a gentleman out to make the repair. Once I was on the schedule, he was right on time (both times). Although he patched it, he did not patch it far enough and a hairline crack still runs in the ceiling (see picture). I also had to request he mud over the whole patch as it left a dip when a straight edge was placed next to it. The one gentleman said that you usually have dips in patches. Frankly, you don't when you know what you are doing. While he was here I arranged with the owner, Russ, to do some sanding and mudding on the walls, which I had already begun (I wanted to save myself some time on the bathroom renovation). I had to request his return because he failed to sand some areas and never mudded others that he had sanded. He did not dispose of the waste from the patch repair, but laid the broken pieces of drywall on the carpeted floor at the top of the steps in a pile (about a buckets worth). Granted, there were some unused parts of drywall sheets, but I found this unprofessional. He used a drop cloth, but after sanding he also failed to vacuum/sweep the dust from sanding and left it for me to clean. Overall, I feel I was an inconvenience for Finishing Touch and they were forced into this job due to their relationship with my electrician, and the effort to get me out of the way greatly impacted the quality of their work. In fact, the second time they were here I was not aware they had left (I was on the back porch). I heard their vehicles start and they were gone."
