"This is the second time we have hired Groundworks (formerly Bakers Waterproofing) to perform work at our house. The first project was in 2017 when we had the waterproofing system installed. We called Groundworks a few weeks ago to get an estimate on lifting our front sidewalk and stairs that have sunk a lot over the past year. The steps had sunk to the point that the railings were not connected to the house, making it very unsafe for anyone coming into the front of our home. Aaron Lenker & Corbin Gillichbover were very professional and knowledgeable when they arrived to assess our sidewalk and steps to lift them. They left our sidewalk and the surrounding area better than when they arrived. Our steps and sidewalk are now level, and the railings are securely attached to the house again. We are thrilled! I would highly recommend Groundworks if you need a basement waterproofing system or any concrete lifted."

"I cannot recommend barrier spray foam enough. We had been looking for a company that I felt comfortable doing our spray foam insulation in the completely un-insulated attic space for a few weeks before I found Robert Keeney from barrier spray foam and I am extremely glad that I was able to find them because I could not be more pleased with the service and the quality of the work that they produced. Robert was incredibly efficient, showed up exactly when he said he would to do a free estimate, he was very good at explaining the R values and the percentage that they would actually insulate the space and what his recommendations are and for that I am extremely grateful. The other companies that we had to quote did not go into this level of detail! Barrier spray foam helped me to feel very comfortable that they were doing everything they could to make sure that the work that was done was what the space needed, and the quality was top notch. We received their very reasonable quote exactly when he told me I would, and not once did I feel that communication was lacking. We were scheduled quickly and on the morning of the assigned day Robert and his crew showed up promptly, they had everything they needed to start work very quickly, they all wore masks and were very respectful of our space and putting down tarps to cover everywhere that they walked. They started promptly, explained what they were doing, explained where they were throughout the process and let us know when they were ready to leave. "Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"
