A flooring material delivery delay pushed the project timeline back by a few weeks. The shower panel was scratched during plumbing installation and had to be replaced, and there were several electrical items shown on the plans that required follow-up visits to complete correctly. We didn't discover until after the drywall and painting were finished that the framing team had missed the wood backing specified in the plans for our TV mounts, which was never resolved. Despite these challenges, our site manager, Jim, was responsive, professional, and easy to work with throughout the project. He was available when questions came up and helped address issues as they arose. While the project wasn't without hiccups, Matrix worked to resolve concerns, and we are enjoying our new basement."

"After a severe wind storm that ripped off roof shingles which allowed rain into my kitchen, a friend referred me to Nyboer Builders. Jay, the owner, came to assess the situation and counseled us on different ways to tackle the issue. He also came several times to oversee and make sure things were going right once the project was in progress. In the beginning, as the demolish unfolded, they found an area that was previously done improperly and wasn't to code. Knowing it was a hazard to our family, he made sure to call in a structural engineer to fix the framing and roofing matter. He kindly worked with us since the insurance company wouldn't cover it due to it being a skylight issue where the former owner cut trusses. It was an unexpected additional $1200 and with our large family, he was willing to do a payment plan. No fault to the Nyboer Builders Company this part of the project extended the length of the project, which bumped our date to getting things done. However, Nyboer Builders returned immediately to finish the project and did a superb job. All my neighbors thought we were remodeling and came to peek in. Everyone of them (6) were impressed with the kitchen ceiling remodel and the paint job that was done.

In the winter, when lot of snow was still in the ground of water against the basement and we have a poured foundation, it had leak, they had stopped the leak we had. They did what they pledged to do. They were here on-time, they got done quickly and then they went and the overall seam link that was leaking was about 7 feet from upper part down to the ground, and we are very happy. They did the work they promised to do on time and on budget."
